Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us and lay down to rest, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) began to sweat. Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) brought a small bottle and began collecting the sweat in it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up and said: "O Umm Sulaym! What are you doing?" She said: "This is your sweat; we mix it into our perfume, and it is the finest of perfumes."

It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her); she said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to take his midday rest (qaylulah) at my house. I would spread out a leather mat for him (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would rest on it and sweat, and I used to knead musk with that sweat to make perfume." Muhammad bin Sirin said: I asked Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) for some of that musk, and she gave me some of it. Then when Muhammad (bin Sirin) died, he was embalmed (hanut) with that very musk, and Muhammad used to like the deceased to be embalmed with musk.
