Umm Ayyash (may Allah be pleased with her), the freed slave woman and servant of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَيَّاشٍ، وَكَانَتْ خَادِمًا لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «بَعَثَ بِهَا مَعَ ابْنَتَهِ إِلَى عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Ayyash (may Allah be pleased with her), and she was a servant of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); he (peace and blessings be upon him) sent her with his daughter to Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him).
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا كُرْدُوسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ بْنُ رَوْحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي رَوْحُ بْنُ عَنْبَسَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْبَسَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ أُمِّ أَبِيهِ أُمِّ عَيَّاشٍ، وَكَانَتْ أَمَةً لِرُقَيَّةَ بِنْتِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَتْ: «كُنْتُ أُوَضِّئُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا قَائِمَةٌ وَهُوَ قَاعِدٌ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Ayyash (may Allah be pleased with her), and she was the slave-girl of Sayyidah Ruqayyah (may Allah be pleased with her), the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); she said: "I used to help the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) perform ablution while I stood and he (peace and blessings be upon him) sat."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا كُرْدُوسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ بْنُ رَوْحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ أُمِّ عَيَّاشٍ، قَالَتْ: وَلَدَتْ رُقْيَةُ لِعُثْمَانَ غُلَامًا، «فَسَمَّاهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَبْدَ اللهِ وَكَنَى عُثْمَانَ بِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Ayyash (may Allah be pleased with her); she said: Sayyidah Ruqayyah (may Allah be pleased with her) bore a son to Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) named him Abdullah and gave Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) the kunyah Abu Abdullah.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا كُرْدُوسٌ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ بْنُ رَوْحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ أُمِّ عَيَّاشٍ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «مَا زَوَّجَتُ عُثْمَانَ أُمَّ كُلْثُومٍ إِلَّا بِوَحْيٍ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Ayyash (may Allah be pleased with her); she said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "I married Umm Kulthum to Uthman only by revelation from the heavens."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، ثنا كُرْدُوسٌ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ بْنُ رَوْحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ أُمِّ عَيَّاشٍ، قَالَتْ: «مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَضَبَ حَتَّى مَاتَ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Ayyash (may Allah be pleased with her); she said: "I never saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) apply dye, until he (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away."
