حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ الضَّبِّيُّ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: " نَظَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ الْعَبَّاسِ تَدُبُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لَئِنْ بَلَغَتْ هَذِهِ وَأَنَا حَيُّ لَأَتَزَوَّجَنَّهَا، فَقُبِضَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَبْلُغَ فَتَزَوَّجَهَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَسَدِ، فَوَلَدَتْ لَهُ رِزْقَ بْنَ الْأَسْوَدِ وَلُبَابَةَ بِنْتَ الْأَسْوَدِ سَمَّتْهَا بِاسْمِ أُمِّهَا أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both); he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw Umm Habibah bint al-Abbas crawling in front of him and said: "If she grows up while I am still alive, I shall certainly marry her." But he (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away before she reached maturity, so she was married to al-Aswad bin Abd al-Asad, and she bore him Rizq bin al-Aswad and Lubabah bint al-Aswad, whom she named after her mother, Umm al-Fadl.
