حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ " شَهِدَ الْعَقَبَةَ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ لُبَيْسَةَ وَأُخْتَهَا ابْنَتَا كَعْبِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَهِيَ أُمُّ عُمَارَةَ الَّتِي أَخَذَ ابْنُهَا مُسَيْلِمَةَ
Ibn Ishaq said: Among the women who were present at (the pledge of) al-Aqabah were Lubaysah and her sister, the two daughters of Ka'b bin Amr bin Awf, and she is Umm Umarah, whose son was seized by Musaylimah (the Liar).
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلُ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ حَبِيبٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ لَيْلَى، مَوْلَاةٍ لَهُمْ عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ أُمِّ عُمَارَةَ بِنْتِ كَعْبٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا، فَدَعَتْ لَهُ بِطَعَامٍ، فَدَعَاهَا تَأْكُلُ مَعَهُ فَقَالَتْ: إِنِّي صَائِمَةٌ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ «الصَّائِمَ إِذَا أَكَلَ فِي بَيْتِهِ، دَعَتْ لَهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ، حَتَّى يَقْضُوا أَكْلَهُمْ وَيَفْرَغُوا»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Umarah bint Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to her, and she had food brought for him (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) invited her to eat with him as well, and she said: "I am fasting." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When people eat food in the house of a fasting person, the angels keep praying for him until they complete their meal and finish."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ الَأوْدِيُّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى زَحْمَوَيْهِ، قَالُوا: ثنا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ لَيْلَى، عَنْ مَوْلَاتِهَا، قَالَتْ: دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِفَاكِهَةٍ أَوْ طَعَامٍ، فَاعْتَزَلَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ فَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَا لَهُمْ؟ قُلْتُ: إِنَّهُمْ صِيَامٌ، قَالَ: «مَا مِنْ صَائِمٍ يَأْكُلُ عِنْدَهُ قَوْمٌ مُفْطِرُونَ، إِلَّا صَلَّتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ، حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ»
Sayyidah Umm Umarah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me, and I brought him (peace and blessings be upon him) fruit or food. Some of the people kept apart and did not eat. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What is the matter with them?" I said: "They are fasting." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whenever people who are not fasting eat in the presence of a fasting person, the angels keep praying for mercy for them until evening."
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ عُمَارَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّةِ، أَنَّهَا " أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَتْ: مَا أَرَى كُلَّ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا لِلرِّجَالِ، مَا أَرَى النِّسَاءَ يُذْكَرْنَ بِشَيْءٍ، فَنَزَلَتْ: {إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ، وَالْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ} [الأحزاب: ٣٥]
Sayyidah Umm Umarah al-Ansariyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "I see that everything is only for men; I do not think that women are mentioned in anything." Then this verse was revealed: "Indeed, the Muslim men and the Muslim women, and the believing men and the believing women" [Surah al-Ahzab: 35]
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا مُصَرِّفُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْيَامِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، قَالَ: " أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ امْرَأَةٌ يُقَالُ لَهَا أُمُّ عُمَارَةَ فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا يَنْزِلُ الْقُرْآنُ إِلَّا فِي الرِّجَالِ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ: {إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ وَالْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ} [الأحزاب: ٣٥]
A woman called Umm Umarah came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, the Qur'an is revealed only about men." So Allah Almighty revealed this verse: "Indeed, the Muslim men and the Muslim women, and the believing men and the believing women" [Surah al-Ahzab: 35]
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ رَاهَوَيْهِ، ثنا أَبِي ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ، قَالَا: ثنا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ عُمَارَةَ، قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: " يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا أَرَى كُلَّ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا لِلرِّجَالَ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ وَالْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ} [الأحزاب: ٣٥] الْآيَةَ
Sayyidah Umm Umarah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, I see that everything is only for men." So Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, revealed this verse: "Indeed, the Muslim men and the Muslim women, and the believing men and the believing women" [Surah al-Ahzab: 35], the whole verse.
