حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْمُؤَدِّبُ، ثنا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُؤَمَّلِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُحَيْصِنٍ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ، قَالَتْ: حَدَّثَتْنَا حَبِيبَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي تَجْرَاةَ، قَالَتْ: رَأَيْتُنِي فِي نِسْوَةٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ فِي دَارِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ، وَرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا، وَالْمَرْوَةِ قَالَتْ: فَسَمِعْتُهُ حِينَ بَلَغَ الْمَسْعَى يَقُولُ: «اسْعَوْا فَإِنَّ اللهَ قَدْ كَتَبَ عَلَيْكُمُ السَّعْيَ»
Sayyidah Habibah bint Abi Tajra'ah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I found myself with some women of Quraysh in the house of Abu Husayn, while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was between Safa and Marwah. She said: When he (peace and blessings be upon him) reached the place of running (al-mas'a), I heard him say: "Perform the sa'i, for Allah has made the sa'i obligatory upon you."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الشَّافِعِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُؤَمَّلِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَحِيضٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ، عَنْ بِنْتِ تَجْرَاةَ، أَحَدِ نِسَاءِ بَنِي عَبْدِ الدَّارِ، قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ دَارَ آلِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ مَعَ نِسْوَةٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَسْعَى بَيْنَ الصَّفَا، وَالْمَرْوَةَ فَرَأَيْتُهُ يَسْعَى فِي بَطْنِ الْوَادِي وَإِنَّ مِئْزَرَهُ لَيَدُورُ مِنْ شِدَّةِ السَّعْيِ حَتَّى إِنِّي لَأَقُولُ إِنِّي لَأَرَى رُكْبَتِهِ وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: «اسْعَوْا فَإِنَّ اللهَ كَتَبَ عَلَيْكُمُ السَّعْيَ»
Sayyidah Bint Abi Tajra'ah (may Allah be pleased with her), one of the women of Banu Abd al-Dar, said: I entered the house of the family of Abu Husayn with some women of Quraysh, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked towards me while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was performing the sa'i between Safa and Marwah. I saw him (peace and blessings be upon him) performing the sa'i in the bottom of the valley, and his (peace and blessings be upon him) waist-wrapper was swirling from the intensity of the sa'i, so much so that I would say that I could see his (peace and blessings be upon him) knee. And I heard him (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Perform the sa'i, for Allah has made the sa'i obligatory upon you."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ الْأَوْدِيُّ، ثنا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُؤَمَّلِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُحَيْصِنٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ، قَالَتْ: حَدَّثَتْنَا حَبِيبَةُ، قَالَتْ: وَإِنِّي فِي نِسْوَةٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ فِي دَارِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ، وَرَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْعَى بَيْنَ الصَّفَا، وَالْمَرْوَةِ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: «اسْعَوْا فَقَدْ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ السَّعْيَ» قَالَتْ، وَإِنَّ إِزَارَهُ لَيَدُورُ بِهِ مِنْ شِدَّةِ السَّعْيِ "
Sayyidah Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I was with some women of Quraysh in the house of Abu Husayn, while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was performing the sa'i between Safa and Marwah, and I heard him (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Perform the sa'i; the sa'i has been made obligatory upon you." She said: And his (peace and blessings be upon him) waist-wrapper was swirling around him (peace and blessings be upon him) from the intensity of the sa'i.
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُؤَمَّلِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي تَجْرَاةَ، قَالَتْ: نَظَرْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَطُوفُ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا، وَالْمَرْوَةِ، وَأَنَا فِي نِسْوَةٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ وَإِنَّهُ يَسْعَى فِي آخِرِ الْقَوْمِ يَقُولُ: «اسْعَوْا فَإِنَّ اللهَ كَتَبَ عَلَيْكُمُ السَّعْيَ» فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ، وَإِنَّهُ يَسْعَى، ومُؤْتَزَرُهُ يَدُورُ مِنْ شِدَّةِ السَّعْيِ
Sayyidah Habibah bint Abi Tajra'ah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performing the sa'i between Safa and Marwah while I was with some women of Quraysh. He (peace and blessings be upon him) was performing the sa'i behind the people, saying: "Perform the sa'i, for Allah has made the sa'i obligatory upon you." I looked at him (peace and blessings be upon him) as he (peace and blessings be upon him) was performing the sa'i, and his (peace and blessings be upon him) waist-wrapper was swirling from the intensity of the sa'i.
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُمَرَ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، ثنا الْخَلِيلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ التَّمِيمِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ نَبِيِّهٍ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ، عَنْ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي تَجْرَاةَ، قَالَتْ: اطَّلَعْتُ مِنْ كَوَّةٍ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا، وَالْمَرْوَةِ فَأَشْرَفْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَإِذَا هُوَ يَسْعَى بَيْنَ الصَّفَا، وَالْمَرْوَةِ وَإِذَا هُوَ يَقُولُ لِأَصْحَابِهِ: «اسْعَوْا فَإِنَّ اللهَ قَدْ كَتَبَ عَلَيْكُمُ السَّعْيَ، وَلَوْ رَأَيْتُهُ مِنْ شِدَّةِ السَّعْيِ يَدُورُ الْإِزَارُ حَوْلَ بَطْنِهِ، وفَخْذَيْهِ حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ بَيَاضَ فَخْذَيْهِ»
Sayyidah Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I looked out through an opening between Safa and Marwah and saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) was performing the sa'i between Safa and Marwah and saying to his Companions: "Perform the sa'i, for Allah has made the sa'i obligatory upon you." If only you had seen how, from the intensity of the sa'i, the waist-wrapper was swirling around his (peace and blessings be upon him) stomach and thighs, so much so that I saw the whiteness of his (peace and blessings be upon him) thighs.
