حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ الْعَدَنِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ، قَالَتْ: أَنَا الَّتِي قَيَّنَتْ عَائِشَةَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَلَمَّا أَهْدَيْتُهَا إِلَيْهِ فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِهَا أَجْلَسْتُهَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، فَأُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَدَحٍ مِنْ لَبَنٍ فَشَرِبَ، ثُمَّ نَاوَلَ عَائِشَةَ فَطَأْطَأَتْ رَأْسَهَا وَاسْتَحْيَتْ، فَقُلْتُ لَهَا: خُذِي مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَخَذَتْ فَشَرِبَتْ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: «نَاوِلِي تِرْبَكِ» ، فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ اشْرَبْ أَنْتَ، ثُمَّ نَاوِلْنِي فَشَرِبَ، ثُمَّ نَاوَلَنِي فَجَعَلْتُ أَتَتَبَّعُ مَوَاضِعَ شَفَتَيْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنِسْوَةٌ قَرِيبٌ مِنَّا - أَوْ عِنْدَنَا - فَقَالَ: «نَاوِلِيهِ صَوَاحِبَاتِكِ» قُلْنَ: لَا نَشْتَهِيهِ - أَوْ لَا نُرِيدُهُ - فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا تَجْمَعْنَ كَذِبًا وَجُوعًا» وَأَبْصَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى إِحْدَانَا سِوَارًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَقَالَ: «يَا هَذِهِ، أَتُحِبِّينَ أَنْ يُسَوِّرَكِ اللهُ مَكَانَهُ سِوَارًا مِنْ نَارٍ» فَنَزَعْنَاهُ فَرَمَيْنَا بِهِ فَمَا نَدْرِي أَيْنَ هُوَ حَتَّى السَّاعَةِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّمَا يَكْفِي إِحْدَاكُنَّ أَنْ تَتَّخِذَ جُمَانًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ» ، رُبَّمَا قَالَ: «سِوَارًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ، ثُمَّ تَأْخُذُ شَيْئًا مِنْ زَعْفَرَانٍ فَتُذِيقَهُ ثُمَّ تُلْطِخُهُ عَلَيْهِ فَإِذَا هُوَ كَأَنَّهُ ذَهَبٌ»
Sayyidah Asma' bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I am the one who adorned Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). When I sent her off and brought her to him (peace and blessings be upon him), I seated her on his right side. Then a cup of milk was brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) drank, then he (peace and blessings be upon him) gave (the vessel) to Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), and she lowered her head and felt shy. I said to her: "Take it from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." So she took it and drank. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give it to your friend." She said: "O Messenger of Allah! You drink it yourself, then give it to me." So he (peace and blessings be upon him) drank, then gave it to me, and I began to seek out the place of the lips of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and drink from that very place. There were some women near us - or with us - and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give it to your friends." They said: "We have no desire for it" - or: "We do not want it." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not combine a lie with hunger." And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a gold bracelet on the hand of one of us and said: "O you who wear this! Would you like Allah to put on you a bracelet of fire in its place?" So we took it off and threw it away, and to this day we do not know where it went. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is sufficient for one of you to make beads of silver", perhaps he said: "a bracelet of silver, then take a little saffron, dissolve it and rub it over it, and it will be like gold."
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ نَشِيطٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ، أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأُتِيَ بِعُسٍّ مِنْ لَبَنٍ فَشَرِبَ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ: «أَعْطِيهِنَّ» لِنِسْوَةٍ عِنْدَهُ، فَقُلْنَ: لَا نَشْتَهِيهِ فَقَالَ: «لَا تَجْمَعْنَ كَذِبًا وَجُوعًا»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Asma' bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her) that she was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when milk was brought in a large bowl. He (peace and blessings be upon him) drank from it, then said to the women who were with him: "Give it to them." They said: "We have no desire for it." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not combine a lie with hunger."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَزْرَقِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ الْعَدَنِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ، قَالَتْ: مَرَّ بِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا فِي نِسْوَةٍ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْنَا فَقَالَ: «إِيَّاكُنَّ وَكُفْرُ الْمُنَعَّمِينَ» قُلْتُ: وَمَا كُفْرُ الْمُنَعَّمِينَ؟ قَالَ: " وَلَعَلَّ إِحْدَاكُنَّ تَطُولُ أَيْمَتُهَا بَيْنَ أَبَوَيْهَا، وَتَعْنُسُ فَيَرْزُقَهَا اللهُ زَوْجًا وَيَرْزُقَهَا مِنْهُ مَالًا وَوَلَدًا، فَتَغْضَبُ الْغَضْبَةَ فَتُكَفِّرُهَا فَتَقُولُ: مَا رَأَيْتُ مِنْكَ خَيْرًا قَطُّ "
Sayyidah Asma' bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by me while I was with some women. He (peace and blessings be upon him) greeted us with salam and said: "Beware of ingratitude for blessings." I said: "What is ingratitude for blessings?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perhaps the marriage of one of you is delayed and she remains unmarried at her parents' home; then Allah grants her a husband and through him gives her wealth and children as well; then she becomes angry over something and, being ungrateful, says: 'I have never seen any good from you.'"
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَهَا وَهِيَ فِي نِسْوَةٍ وَقُلْنَا: بَايَعْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، فَقَالَ: «لَا أُصَافِحُكُنَّ وَلَكِنْ آخُذُ عَلَيْكُنَّ مَا أَخَذَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِنَّ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Asma' bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her, when she was with some women and they said: "O Messenger of Allah! Take our pledge of allegiance," he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I will not shake hands with you, but I will take from you the pledge that Allah has taken from those (believing women)."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ الْعَدَنِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ، قَالَتْ: حَدَّثَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا عَنِ الدَّجَّالِ، فَقَامَتِ امْرَأَةٌ فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي لَأَعْجِنُ عَجِينَ أَهْلِي فَمَا أَظُنُّ يَبْلُغُ حَتَّى تَخْرُجَ نَفْسِي، فَقَالَ: «إِنْ يَخْرُجْ وَأَنَا فِيكُمْ فَأَنَا حَجِيجُهُ، وَإِنْ يَخْرُجْ بَعْدِي فَاللهُ خَلِيفَتِي عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ»
Sayyidah Asma' bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her) said: One day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) told us about the Dajjal. A woman stood up and said: "O Messenger of Allah! I knead dough for my family, and I feel that my soul will depart (out of fear of the Dajjal) before it (the dough) is ready." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If he comes out while I am among you, I will suffice to contend with him; and if he comes out after me, then Allah is my successor over every Muslim."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «لَمْ يَكُنْ نَبِيٌّ إِلَّا وَقَدْ حَذَّرَ أُمَّتَهُ الدَّجَّالَ، وَإِنِّي أُنْذِرُكُمُوهُ»
Sayyidah Asma' bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "There has been no prophet but that he warned his nation of the Dajjal, and I too warn you of him."
