حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا شَاذُّ بْنُ الْفَيَّاضِ، ثنا هَاشِمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ كِنَانَةَ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ، قَالَتْ: «أَعْتَقَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَجَعَلَ عِتْقِي صَدَاقِي»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) freed me and made my freedom my dowry (mahr)."
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا شَاذُّ بْنُ الْفَيَّاضِ، ثنا هَاشِمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ كِنَانَةَ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ، قَالَتْ: دَخَلَ عَلِيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَبَيْنَ يَدَيَّ أَرْبَعَةُ آلَافِ نَوَاةٍ أُسَبِّحُ بِهِنَّ، فَقَالَ: «يَا ابْنَةَ حُيَيٍّ مَا هَذَا؟» فَقُلْتُ: أُسَبِّحُ بِهِنَّ، فَقَالَ: «قَدْ سَبَّحْتُ مُنْذُ قُمْتُ عَلَى رَأْسِكَ بِأَكْثَرِ مِنْ هَذَا» ، قُلْتُ: فَعَلِّمْنِي يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَالَ: «قُولِي سُبْحَانَ اللهِ عَدَدَ مَا خَلَقَ مِنْ شَيْءٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me while there were four thousand date-stones in front of me with which I was glorifying Allah (tasbih). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Daughter of Huyayy! What is this?" I said: I am glorifying Allah with them. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Since I came to you until now, I have glorified Allah more than this." I said: Then teach me, O Messenger of Allah! He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Say: 'Subhan Allahi adada ma khalaqa min shay'' (Glory be to Allah, as many times as the number of His creation)."
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا شَاذُّ بْنُ الْفَيَّاضِ، ثنا هَاشِمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ كِنَانَةَ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ، قَالَتْ: دَخَلَ عَلِيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَأَنَا أَبْكِي فَقَالَ: «مَا يُبْكِيكِ يَا ابْنَةَ حُيَيٍّ؟» قُلْتُ: بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، وَحَفْصَةَ تَنَالَانِ مِنِّي، وَتَقُولَانِ: نَحْنُ خَيْرٌ مِنْهَا، نَحْنُ بَنَاتُ عَمِّ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَزْوَاجُهُ، قَالَ: " أَفَلَا قُلْتِ: كَيْفَ تَكُونَانِ خَيْرًا مِنِّي، وَأَبِي هَارُونُ، وَعَمِّي مُوسَى، وَزَوْجِي مُحَمَّدٌ " صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
It is narrated from Sayyidah Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me while I was weeping. He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Daughter of Huyayy! What makes you weep?" I said: I have learned that Aishah and Hafsah taunt me and say: We are better than her; we are the cousins and the wives of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why did you not say: How can they be better than me, when my father is Harun (peace be upon him), my paternal uncle is Musa (peace be upon him), and my husband is Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)?"
