حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ عَلَى هَذَا الْمِنْبَرِ: «إِنِّي سَابِقُكُمْ عَلَى الْكَوْثَرِ، فَبَيْنَا أَنَا عَلَيْهِ إِذْ مَرَّ بِكُمْ أَرْسَالًا مُخَالِفًا بِكُمْ، فَأُنَادِي أَلَا هَلُمَّ، فَيُنَادِي مُنَادٍ، فَيَقُولُ أَلَا إِنَّهُمْ قَدْ أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ، فَأَقُولُ سُحْقًا»
Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say on this pulpit: "I will precede you to al-Kawthar. While I am there, you will be passed by me in groups, but being taken (away from me) in another direction. I will call out: Come, come here! Then a caller will call out and say: These people introduced innovations after you. So I will say: Away with them, away with them!"
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ غُلَيْبٍ، ثنا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ هَارُونَ الرَّمْلِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّهَا بَيْنَمَا هِيَ تَمْتَشِطُ لَمْ يَرُعْهَا إِلَّا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُنَادِي عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ: " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّي بَيْنَمَا أَنَا عَلَى الْحَوْضِ أُتِيَ بِكُمْ رُفْقَةً رُفْقَةً، فَذَهَبَتْ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْكُمْ هَهُنَا وَهَهُنَا، فَقُلْتُ مَا لَهُمْ هَلُمُّوا إِلَيَّ فَصَرَخَ صَارِخٌ فَقَالَ: إِنَّهُمْ قَدْ بَدَّلُوا بَعْدَكَ، فَقُلْتُ: سُحْقًا سُحْقًا "
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that once, while she was combing her hair, she was suddenly startled by the call of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) from the pulpit; he (peace and blessings be upon him) was saying: "O people! While I am at the Pond, you will be brought before me group after group, then some of you will turn away this way and that. I will say: What is the matter with them? Come to me! Then a caller will call out and say: They changed (the religion) after you. So I will say: Away with them, away with them!"
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُلَيْحٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ، قَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَلْ عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ تَرَى فِي زَوْجِهَا فِي الْمَنَامِ يَقَعُ عَلَيْهَا غُسْلٌ؟، قَالَ: «نَعَمْ إِذَا رَأَتِ الْمَاءَ» ، فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَوَ يَكُونُ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الْمَرْأَةِ؟، قَالَ: «نَعَمْ تَرِبَتْ جَبِينُكِ مِنْ أَيْنَ يَكُونُ شَبْهُ الْخُؤُولَةِ لَا أُمَّ لَكِ، أَيُّ النُّطْفَتَيْنِ سَبَقَتْ عَلَى الرَّحِمِ غَلَبَتْ عَلَى الشَّبَهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that Sayyidah Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah! If a woman sees in a dream that her husband is having intercourse with her, must she take a ritual bath? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, when she sees the fluid." Then Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah! Does that happen to a woman as well? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, may your forehead be covered in dust! Where else would the resemblance to the maternal relatives come from? May your mother weep for you! Whichever of the two fluids reaches the womb first prevails in the resemblance."
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ مِقْلَاصٍ، ثنا أَبِي، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، أَنَّ مُوسَى بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ حَدَّثَهُمْ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ رَافِعٍ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ أَكْثَرَ مَالٍ قَدِمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى قَبَضَهُ اللهُ، قَدِمَ عَلَيْهِ فِي جُنْحِ اللَّيْلِ خَرِيطَةٌ فِيهَا ثَمَانِمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ وَصَحِيفَةٌ، فَأَرْسَلَ بِهَا إِلَيَّ، وَكَانَتْ لَيْلَتِي، ثُمَّ انْقَلَبَ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ فَصَلَّى فِي الْحُجْرَةِ فِي مُصَلًّى لَهُ، وَقَدْ مَهَّدْتُ لَهُ وَلِنَفْسِي، فَأَنَا أَنْتَظِرُ، فَأَطَالَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ، ثُمَّ رَجَعَ، فَلَمْ يَزَلْ كَذَلِكَ حَتَّى دُعِيَ لِصَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ فَصَلَّى ثُمَّ رَجَعَ، فَقَالَ: «أَيْنَ تِلْكَ الْخَرِيطَةُ الَّتِي فَتَنَتْنِي الْبَارِحَةَ» فَدَعَا بِهَا فَقَسَمَهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ: «قُبْحًا لَكِ» ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَنَعْتَ شَيْئًا لَمْ تَكُنْ تَصْنَعُهُ، فَقَالَ: «كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي فَأُوتَى بِهَا فَأَنْصَرِفُ حَتَّى أَنْظُرَ إِلَيْهَا ثُمَّ أَرْجِعُ فَأُصَلِّي»
Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) relates: I know the greatest amount of wealth that came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) until Allah took him (in death): in the darkness of the night a pouch came to him (peace and blessings be upon him) containing eight hundred dirhams and a written note. He (peace and blessings be upon him) sent it to me, and it was my night. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) returned after the Isha prayer and began praying in his place of prayer in the room. I had prepared the bedding for him (peace and blessings be upon him) and for myself, and I was waiting. He (peace and blessings be upon him) took a long time, then went out, then came back, and continued like this until the call was made for the Fajr prayer. He (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed, then came back and said: "Where is that pouch which kept me occupied last night?" He called for it and distributed it, then said: "Woe to you!" I said: O Messenger of Allah! You did something you never used to do before. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I was praying, and it was brought to (my mind), so I would turn away from the prayer to look at it, then go back and pray."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ثنا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ
Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates a hadith like it from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ غُلَيْبٍ، ثنا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى أَبْعِرَةً فِي بَعْضِهَا جَرَسٌ، فَلَمَّا سَمِعَ صَوْتَهُ قَالَ: «مَا هَذَا؟» قَالَ رَجُلٌ: الْجُلْجُلُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «وَمَا الْجُلْجُلُ؟» ، قَالَ: الْجَرَسُ، قَالَ: «نَعَمْ فَاذْهَبْ فَاقْطَعْهُ ثُمَّ ارْمِ بِهِ» ، فَفَعَلَ، ثُمَّ رَجَعَ الرَّجُلُ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا لَهُ؟، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ لَا تَصْحَبُ رُفْقَةً فِيهَا جَرَسٌ» .
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw some camels, some of which had bells tied on them. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) heard their sound, he said: "What is this?" A man said: A jaljal (a small bell). the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "And what is a jaljal?" He said: A bell. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes; go and cut it off and throw it away." He did so, then the man came back and said: O Messenger of Allah! What is wrong with it? the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The angels do not accompany a caravan in which there is a bell."
حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ رَجُلَيْنِ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ دَخَلَا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. الْحَدِيثَ
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that two men of the Ansar came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); then the narrator related the rest of the hadith in full.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلَّانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ، ثنا ابْنُ كَرَامَةَ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ إِلْيَاسٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا، فَيَصُومُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ»
Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would reach the morning in a state of janabah, and then fast that day.
وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ قَالَتْ: «كُنْتُ أَغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللهِ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ»
It is narrated through the same chain that she said: "the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and I used to take a ritual bath from a single vessel."
