حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ الْأَيْلِيِّ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ رُومَانَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ عِنْدِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا فَاسْتَيْقَظَ وَعَيْنَاهُ مُحْمَرَّتَانِ، فَقَالَ فَانْفَضَّ رَأْسُهُ: «وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَبِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ» فَقُلْتُ: وَمَا ذَاكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: «فُتِحَ مِنْ رَدْمِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مِثْلُ هَذِهِ» ، وَعَقَدَ عَشْرَةً، قَالَتْ: لَا أَدْرِي أَمِثْلَ الْحَلْقَةِ أَوْ مِثْلَ الْأُنْمُلَةِ قُلْتُ: أَتَخَافُ عَلَيْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ الْهَلَاكَ وَفِينَا الصَّالِحُونَ؟ فَقَالَ: «نَعَمْ إِذَا كَثُرَ الْخَبَثُ» . فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ رُومَانَ: قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ فَحَدَّثَنِيهِ كَمَا قَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ
Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was with me one day when he (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up with his eyes red, and he (peace and blessings be upon him), shaking his head, said: "Woe to the Arabs from an evil that has drawn near." I said: What is that, O Messenger of Allah? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This much of the barrier of Gog and Magog (Ya'juj and Ma'juj) has been opened," and he (peace and blessings be upon him) formed the number ten with his fingers. I do not know whether it was like a ring or like a fingertip. I said: Do you fear destruction for us, O Messenger of Allah, while there are righteous people among us? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, when wickedness becomes widespread."
Umm Ruman said: Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about this hadith, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) narrated it to me just as Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) had narrated it.
