حَدَّثَنَا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْعَطَّارُ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، ثنا ثَابِتُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ رَيْطَةَ، عَنْ كَبْشَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «يَنْهَى أَنْ يُخْلَطَ التَّمْرُ بِالزَّبِيبِ، وَأَنْ يُعْجَمَ النِّوَاءُ طَبْخًا»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to forbid mixing dates with raisins, and cooking (dates) so much that their stones dissolve (and spoil).
حَدَّثَنَا الْجَذُوعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ، ثنا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ثنا ثَابِتٌ، حَدَّثَتْنِي رَيْطَةُ بِنْتُ حُرَيْثٍ، عَنْ كَبْشَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الشَّرَابِ، فَقَالَتْ: أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِمَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْهَى عَنْهُ أَهْلَهُ كَانَ «يَنْهَانَا أَنْ يُخْلَطَ الزَّبِيبُ بِالتَّمْرِ»
Kabshah bint Abi Maryam relates that she asked Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), about drinks, and she said: I will tell you what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to forbid his household: he (peace and blessings be upon him) used to forbid us from mixing raisins with dates.
