حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ، عَنِ الْمَعْرُورِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «مَا مَسَخَ اللهُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ، فَكَانَ لَهُ عَقِبٌ وَلَا نَسْلٌ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whatever thing Allah Almighty transformed (into another form), it was left with no offspring and no descendants."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمَوْصِلِيُّ، ثنا خَلَفُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ، ثنا خَلَفُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ، وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثنا خَلَفُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ، عَنِ الْمَعْرُورِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ، تَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِذَا ظَهَرَتِ الْمَعَاصِي فِي أُمَّتِي عَمَّهُمُ اللهُ بِعَذَابٍ» ، قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَمَا فِي النَّاسِ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاسٌ صَالِحُونَ، قَالَ: «بَلَى» ، قُلْتُ: فَكَيْفَ يَصْنَعُ أُولَئِكَ؟، قَالَ: «يُصِيبُهُمْ مَا أَصَابَ النَّاسَ ثُمَّ يَصِيرُونَ إِلَى مَغْفِرَةٍ مِنَ اللهِ وَرِضْوَانٍ» ، «لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "When sins become widespread in my Ummah, Allah Almighty envelops them all in punishment." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, will there not be righteous people among the people at that time?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Of course." I said: "Then what will become of them?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What befalls the rest of the people will befall them too, then they will return to forgiveness and good pleasure from Allah."
