Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 20052 — when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ applied

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو غَسَّانَ، ثنا كَامِلُ أَبُو الْعَلَاءِ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ إِنْسَانٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «إِذَا اطَّلَى بَدَأَ بِعَانَتِهِ، فَهُوَ الَّذِي يَلِيهَا»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) applied a hair-removing paste, he would begin with the pubic area, and he would apply it to that place himself.
