حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عَوْنٍ، قَالَ: أَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ شَدَّادِ بْنِ الْهَادِ، قَالَ: أَرْسَلَنِي مَرْوَانُ إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، فَسَأَلْتُهَا فَقَالَتْ: «أَتَانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَقَدْ تَوَضَّأَ، فَنَاوَلْتُهُ عَرْقًا، أَوْ كَتِفًا، فَأَكَلَ، ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ، وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ» .
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) had (already) performed ablution. I offered him (peace and blessings be upon him) some meat on the bone, or shoulder meat, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) ate from it, then stood up for prayer and did not perform ablution again.
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْقَتَّاتُ، حَدَّثَنَا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عَوْنٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ
A similar hadith is also narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her).
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْقَطِرَانِيُّ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ، ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، قَالُوا: ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي عَوْنٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ سُئِلَتْ عَمَّا غَيَّرَتِ النَّارُ؟ فَقَالَتْ: «أَكَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَتِفًا، ثُمَّ صَلَّى، وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ»
Abdullah bin Shaddad narrates that Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) was asked about what has been altered by fire, and she said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate shoulder meat, then prayed and did not perform ablution.
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ، ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ أَسْمَاءَ بَكَتْ عَلَى جَعْفَرٍ، أَوْ حَمْزَةَ، ثَلَاثًا، «فَأَمَرَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تَرْقَأَ وَتَكْتَحِلَ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that Sayyidah Asma' (may Allah be pleased with her) wept for Sayyiduna Ja'far, or Sayyiduna Hamzah (may Allah be pleased with him), for three days, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered her to stop weeping and to apply kohl.
