حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الضَّبِّيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْمُؤَدِّبُ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ، تَقُولُ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَائِمًا مَعَ صَاحِبِ فَرَسٍ أَبْيَضَ أَخَذَ بِمَعْرِفَةِ فَرَسِهِ، فَلَمَّا أَتَانِي قُلْتُ: مَنْ صَاحِبُ الْفَرَسِ؟ قَالَ: «وَقَدْ رَأَيْتِيهِ؟» ، قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: «وَمَنْ يُشْبِهُهُ؟» ، قُلْتُ: دِحْيَةُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ الْكَلْبِيُّ، قَالَ: «ذَاكَ جِبْرِيلُ وَهُوَ يُقْرِئُكِ السَّلَامَ» ، قُلْتُ: وَعَلَى مَنْ أَرْسَلَهُ وَعَلَيْكَ وَعَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ
Kathir, the freed slave of Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah have mercy on him), said: I heard Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) say: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) standing with the rider of a white horse, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) was holding the mane of his horse. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me, I asked: Who was the man with the horse? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Did you see him?" I said: Yes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whom did he resemble?" I said: Dihyah bin Khalifah al-Kalbi. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That was Jibril, and he is conveying his greeting of peace to you." I said: And peace be upon the One who sent him, and upon you, and upon him.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدَوسِ بْنِ كَامِلٍ السَّرَّاجُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، ثنا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ الْقَطَوَانِيُّ، ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْعُمَرِيُّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، وَعُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعَهُ رَجُلٌ عَلَى بِرْذَوْنٍ وَعَلَيْهِ عِمَامَةٌ قَدْ شَدَّ لَهَا مِنْ خَلْفِهِ، وَرَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاضِعٌ يَدَهُ عَلَى مَعْرِفَةِ الْبِرْذَوْنِ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَنْ هَذَا؟ قَالَ: «وَرَأَيْتِيهِ؟» ، قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: «مَنْ هُوَ؟» ، قُلْتُ: دِحْيَةُ الْكَلْبِيُّ، قَالَ: «ذَاكَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ»
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and with him was a man riding a Turkish horse (birdhawn), wearing a turban with its end hanging down behind him, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had placed his hand on the mane of that horse. I said: O Messenger of Allah, who is this? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Did you see him?" I said: Yes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Who was he?" I said: Dihyah al-Kalbi. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That was Jibril (peace be upon him)."
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَائِلَةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ، ثنا أَبِي، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَا عَائِشَةُ هَذَا جِبْرِيلُ يُقْرِئُكِ السَّلَامَ» ، فَقُلْتُ: وَعَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "O Aishah, this is Jibril, conveying his greeting of peace to you." I said: And upon him be peace and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، أنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أنا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَهَا: «هَذَا جِبْرِيلُ وَهُوَ يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكِ السَّلَامَ» ، فَقُلْتُ: وَعَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ، تَرَى مَنْ لَا نَرَى
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: "This is Jibril, conveying his greeting of peace to you." I said: And upon him be peace and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. You see what we do not see.
حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ مُسَافِرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «هَذَا جِبْرِيلُ يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكِ السَّلَامَ» ، فَقُلْتُ: وَعَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is Jibril, conveying his greeting of peace to you." I said: And upon him be peace and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ كَامِلٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «هَذَا جِبْرِيلُ يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكِ السَّلَامَ» ، فَقُلْتُ: وَعَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "This is Jibril, conveying his greeting of peace to you." I said: And upon him be peace and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ رَأَيْتُكَ تُكَلِّمُ دِحْيَةَ الْكَلْبِيَّ وَيَدَكَ عَلَى مَعْرِفَةِ الْفَرَسِ، فَقَالَ: «رَأَيْتِيهِ؟» ، فَقُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: «ذَاكَ جِبْرِيلُ وَهُوَ يُقْرِئُكِ السَّلَامَ» ، فَقُلْتُ: وَعَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ مِنْ صَاحِبٍ وَدَخِيلٍ، فَنِعْمَ الصَّاحِبُ وَنِعْمَ الدَّخِيلُ
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, I saw you talking with Dihyah al-Kalbi while your hand was on the mane of the horse. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Did you see him?" I said: Yes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That was Jibril, and he is conveying his greeting of peace to you." I said: And upon him be peace and the mercy of Allah and His blessings; what an excellent companion and what an excellent intimate visitor he is.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا وَكِيعُ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ، عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «يَا عَائِشَةُ جِبْرِيلُ يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكِ السَّلَامَ» ، قُلْتُ: وَعَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Aishah, Jibril is conveying his greeting of peace to you." I said: And upon him be peace and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَ: ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِعَائِشَةَ: «هَذَا جِبْرِيلُ يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكِ السَّلَامَ» ، فَقَالَتْ لَهُ عَائِشَةُ: وَعَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: "This is Jibril, conveying his greeting of peace to you." Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: And upon him be peace and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ، حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَهَا: «جِبْرِيلُ يُقْرِئُكِ مِنْ رَبِّكِ السَّلَامَ» ، قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: فَلِرَبِّي السَّلَامُ، وَمِنْهُ السَّلَامُ، وَعَلَى جِبْرِيلَ السَّلَامُ
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: "Jibril is conveying to you the greeting of peace from your Lord." She said: I said: To my Lord belongs peace, from Him comes peace, and upon Jibril be peace.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَصِينٍ الْقَاضِي، وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ثنا شَرِيكُ، عَنْ مُطِيعٍ الْغَزَّالِ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: اسْتَأْذَنَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: مَنْ هَذِهِ عِنْدَكَ؟ قَالَ: «عَائِشَةُ» ، قَالَ: فَأَقْرِئْهَا مِنِّي السَّلَامَ، قَالَ: «بَخٍ بَخٍ يَا عَائِشَةُ هَذَا جِبْرِيلُ يُقْرِئُكِ السَّلَامَ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: Jibril (peace be upon him) asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for permission to come in, and said: Who is this with you? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Aishah." He said: Convey my greeting of peace to her. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bravo, bravo! O Aishah, this is Jibril conveying his greeting of peace to you."
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَ: ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ، قَالَتْ: بَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَالِسٌ فِي الْبَيْتِ إِذْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا رَجُلٌ عَلَى فَرَسٍ، فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ رَجَعَ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَنْ هَذَا؟، قَالَ: «هَذَا جِبْرِيلُ وَقَدْ أَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَقْرَأَ عَلَيْكِ السَّلَامَ» ، فَقُلْتُ: أَرْجِعْ إِلَيْهِ السَّلَامَ، إِلَيْهِ مِنِّي السَّلَامُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) related: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting in the house when a man riding a horse came in to us, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up, then came back. I said: O Messenger of Allah, who was this? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That was Jibril, and he instructed me to convey his greeting of peace to you." I said: Return the greeting to him; to him from me be peace and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى السَّاجِيُّ، قَالَ: ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنَ الْأَحْزَابِ دَخَلَ مُغْتَسِلًا يَغْتَسِلُ» ، فَجَاءَ جِبْرِيلُ، فَقَالَ: يَا مُحَمَّدُ قَدْ وَضَعْتُمْ أَسْلِحَتَكُمْ مَا وَضَعْنَا أَسْلِحَتَنَا بَعْدُ، اذْهَبْ إِلَى بَنِي قُرَيْظَةَ، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ مِنْ خَلَلِ التُّرَابِ، قَدْ عَصَبَ التُّرَابُ رَأْسَهُ
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had finished with the Battle of the Confederates (al-Ahzab), he went inside to take a bath. Just then Jibril (peace be upon him) came and said: "O Muhammad, you have laid down your weapons, but we have not yet laid down ours. Go to Banu Qurayzah." Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah, I saw him through the dust; the dust had wrapped itself around his head.
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا أَبُو مُوسَى إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَا: ثنا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ هُدَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: أُوحِيَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ فَأَجَفْتُ الْبَابَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ، فَلَمَّا رُفِعَ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: «يَا عَائِشَةُ إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ يُقْرِئُكِ السَّلَامَ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: Revelation came down upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while I was with him (peace and blessings be upon him), so I closed the door between myself and him (peace and blessings be upon him). When the revelation ended, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Aishah, Jibril is conveying his greeting of peace to you."
