حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، وَعَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْأَبَّارُ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ اللَّاحِقِيُّ، قَالُوا: ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْفُرَاتِ الْكِنْدِيُّ، عَنْ عِلْبَاءِ بْنِ أَحْمَرَ الْيَشْكُرِيِّ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: «خَطَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَرْبَعَةَ أَخْطُطٍ» ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: «تَدْرُونَ مَا هَذِهِ؟» ، قَالُوا: اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ، قَالَ: «أَفْضَلُ نِسَاءِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ خَدِيجَةُ بِنْتُ خُوَيْلِدٍ، وَفَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَمَرْيَمُ بِنْتُ عِمْرَانَ، وَآسِيَةُ بِنْتُ مُزَاحِمٍ امْرَأَةُ فِرْعَوْنَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) drew four lines on the ground, then said: "Do you know what these are?" The Companions said: Allah and His Messenger know best. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The most excellent of the women of the people of Paradise are Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, Fatimah bint Muhammad, Maryam bint Imran, and Asiyah bint Muzahim, the wife of Pharaoh."
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، حَدَّثَنَا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَسَنٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «سَيِّدَاتُ نِسَاءِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مَرْيَمُ بِنْتُ عِمْرَانَ، ثُمَّ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثُمَّ خَدِيجَةُ، ثُمَّ آسِيَةُ امْرَأَةُ فِرْعَوْنَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The leading ladies of the women of the people of Paradise are Maryam bint Imran, then Fatimah bint Muhammad, then Khadijah, then Asiyah, the wife of Pharaoh."
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أنا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «حَسْبُكَ مِنْ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ مَرْيَمُ بِنْتُ عِمْرَانَ، وَخَدِيجَةُ بِنْتُ خُوَيْلِدٍ، وَفَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَآسِيَةُ امْرَأَةُ فِرْعَوْنَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sufficient for you among the women of the worlds are: Maryam bint Imran, Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, Fatimah bint Muhammad, and Asiyah, the wife of Pharaoh."
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، أنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أنا مَعْمَرٌ، وَابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، أَنَّ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «خَيْرُ نِسَائِهَا مَرْيَمُ بِنْتُ عِمْرَانَ، وَخَيْرُ نِسَائِهَا خَدِيجَةُ بِنْتُ خُوَيْلِدٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The best of its women is Maryam bint Imran, and the best of its women is Khadijah bint Khuwaylid."
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، وَأَبُو أُسَامَةَ، وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «خَيْرُ نِسَائِهَا مَرْيَمُ بِنْتُ عِمْرَانَ، وَخَدِيجَةُ بِنْتُ خُوَيْلِدٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The best of its women are Maryam bint Imran and Khadijah bint Khuwaylid."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدَوسِ بْنِ كَامِلٍ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأُمَوِيُّ، ثنا أَبِي، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ خَدِيجَةَ بِنْتِ خُوَيْلِدٍ، قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُهَا عَلَى نَهَرٍ مِنْ أَنْهَارِ الْجَنَّةِ، فِي بَيْتٍ مِنْ قَصَبٍ، لَا لَغْوَ فِيهِ وَلَا نَصَبَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about Sayyidah Khadijah bint Khuwaylid (may Allah be pleased with her), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I saw her on the bank of one of the rivers of Paradise, in a house made of pearl, in which there is no idle talk and no toil."
حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ، ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، ثنا مَيْسَرَةُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَالِسٌ مَعَ خَدِيجَةَ إِذْ أَتَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ، فَقَالَ: «يَا مُحَمَّدُ أَقْرِئْ خَدِيجَةَ مِنِّي السَّلَامَ، وَبَشِّرْهَا بِبَيْتٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِنْ قَصَبٍ لَا أَذًى فِيهِ، وَلَا نَصَبَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting with Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) when Jibril (peace be upon him) came to him (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Muhammad! Convey my greeting of peace to Khadijah, and give her the glad tidings of a house in Paradise made of pearl, in which there is no harm and no toil."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامِ بْنِ أَبِي الدُّمَيْكِ الْمُسْتَمْلِي، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَنَابٍ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ، ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: «بَشَّرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَدِيجَةَ بِبَيْتٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِنْ قَصَبٍ، لَا صَخَبَ فِيهِ وَلَا نَصَبَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) the glad tidings of a house in Paradise made of pearl, in which there is no noise and no toil.
حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْعُكْبَرِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الزُّهَيْرِيُّ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَاصِمٍ الْكِلَابِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَا: «بَشَّرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَدِيجَةَ بِبَيْتٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِنْ قَصَبٍ لَا صَخَبَ فِيهِ، وَلَا نَصَبَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah and Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with them both) that they both said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) the glad tidings of a house in Paradise made of pearl, in which there is no noise and no toil.
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: أَتَى جِبْرِيلُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «هَذِهِ خَدِيجَةُ قَدْ أَتَتْكَ بِإِنَاءٍ فِيهِ إِدَامٌ، وَطَعَامٌ وَشَرَابٌ، فَإِذَا أَتَتْكَ فَأَقْرِئْ عَلَيْهَا السَّلَامَ مِنْ رَبِّهَا، وَبَشِّرْهَا بِبَيْتٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِنْ قَصَبٍ، لَا صَخَبَ فِيهِ وَلَا نَصَبَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: Jibril (peace be upon him) came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "Here is Khadijah, coming with a vessel containing curry, food and drink. When she comes to you, convey to her the greeting of peace from her Lord, and give her the glad tidings of a house in Paradise made of pearl, in which there is no noise and no toil."
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ، أنا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الشَّافِعِيُّ، ثنا عَمِّي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الشَّافِعِيُّ، ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى، قَالَ: «بَشَّرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَدِيجَةَ بِبَيْتٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِنْ قَصَبٍ، لَا صَخَبَ فِيهِ وَلَا نَصَبَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) the glad tidings of a house in Paradise made of pearl, in which there is no noise and no toil.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يُونُسَ الرَّقِّيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي سَمِينَةَ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " قَالَ لِي جِبْرِيلُ: بَشِّرْ خَدِيجَةَ بِبَيْتٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِنْ قَصَبٍ، لَا صَخَبَ فِيهِ وَلَا نَصَبَ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibril said to me: Give Khadijah the glad tidings of a house in Paradise made of pearl, in which there is no noise and no toil."
حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ اللَّيْثِ أَبُو صَالِحٍ الرَّاسِبِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي صَفْوَانَ الثَّقَفِيُّ، قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُبَشِّرَ خَدِيجَةَ بِبَيْتٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِنْ قَصَبٍ، لَا صَخَبَ فِيهِ وَلَا نَصَبَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have been commanded to give Khadijah the glad tidings of a house in Paradise made of pearl, in which there is no noise and no toil."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ السَّقَطِيُّ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا مُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُكْثِرُ ذِكْرَ خَدِيجَةَ، فَقُلْتُ: مَا أَكْثَرَ مَا تُكْثِرُ ذِكْرَ خَدِيجَةَ وَقَدْ أَخْلَفَ اللهُ لَكَ مِنْ خَدِيجَةَ عَجُوزٌ حَمْرَاءُ الشِّدْقَيْنِ قَدْ هَلَكَتْ فِي دَهْرٍ، فَغَضِبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَضَبًا مَا رَأَيْتُهُ غَضِبَ مِثْلَهُ قَطُّ، وَقَالَ: «إِنَّ اللهَ رَزَقَهَا مِنِّي مَا لَمْ يَرْزُقْ أَحَدًا مِنْكُنَّ» ، قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ اعْفُ عَنِّي عَفَا اللهُ عَنْكَ، وَاللهِ لَا تَسْمَعُنِي أَذْكُرُ خَدِيجَةَ بَعْدَ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ بِشَيْءٍ تَكْرَهُهُ
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to mention Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) very often, so I said: How often you mention Khadijah! Yet Allah has given you a replacement for Khadijah; (she was) an old woman with red corners of the mouth who died ages ago. At this the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) became so angry that I had never seen him (peace and blessings be upon him) so angry, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty granted her from me what He did not grant any of you." I said: O Messenger of Allah! Forgive me, may Allah forgive you. By Allah! After today you will never hear me mention Khadijah in any way that you dislike.
حَدَّثَنَا مَسْعَدَةُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْعَطَّارُ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ هَارُونَ، قَالَا: ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِزَامِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: «مَا غِرْتُ عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا غِرْتُ عَلَى خَدِيجَةَ، وَلَقَدْ هَلَكَتْ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَنِي بِثَلَاثِ سِنِينَ، لَمَّا كُنْتُ أَسْمَعُ مِنْ ذِكْرِهِ إِيَّاهَا، وَلَقَدْ أَمَرَهُ رَبُّهُ أَنْ يُبَشِّرَهَا بِبَيْتٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِنْ قَصَبٍ، وَإِنْ كَانَ لَيَذْبَحُ الشَّاةَ فَيَظَلُّ يَتَتَبَّعُ بِأَعْضَائِهَا صَدَائِقَ خَدِيجَةَ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: I never felt as much jealousy over any wife of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) as I felt over Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her), although she had passed away three years before my marriage, because I used to hear him (peace and blessings be upon him) mention her so often. And his (peace and blessings be upon him) Lord had commanded him to give her the glad tidings of a house in Paradise made of pearl. And whenever he (peace and blessings be upon him) slaughtered a goat, he would seek out the friends of Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) and send them pieces of its meat.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: «مَا غِرْتُ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مَا غِرْتُ عَلَى خَدِيجَةَ، مِمَّا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَذْكُرُهَا» ، وَقَالَتْ: «أَمَرَهُ اللهُ أَنْ يُبَشِّرَهَا بِبَيْتٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِنْ قَصَبٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: I never felt as much jealousy over anyone as I felt over Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her), because I used to hear the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) mention her. And she said: Allah had commanded him (peace and blessings be upon him) to give her the glad tidings of a house in Paradise made of pearl.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ، ثنا أَبِي، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: «مَا غِرْتُ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ نِسَاءِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا غِرْتُ عَلَى خَدِيجَةَ مِنْ كَثْرَةِ ذِكْرِهِ لَهَا صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: I never felt as much jealousy over any wife of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) as I felt over Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her), because he (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned her so often.
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، قَالَا: ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: اسْتَأْذَنَتْ هَالَةُ بِنْتُ خُوَيْلِدٍ أُخْتُ خَدِيجَةَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَشَبَّهَهُ بِاسْتِئْذَانِ خَدِيجَةَ فَارْتَاحَ لِذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ: «اللهُمَّ هَالَةُ» فَغِرْتُ، وَمَا غِرْتُ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مَا غِرْتُ عَلَى خَدِيجَةَ. زَادَ مِنْجَابٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ: «لِكَثْرَةِ ذِكْرِهِ إِيَّاهَا، وَلَقَدْ تَزَوَّجَنِي بَعْدَهَا بِثَلَاثِ سِنِينَ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The sister of Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her), Sayyidah Halah bint Khuwaylid (may Allah be pleased with her), asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for permission to enter, and the way she asked for permission resembled the way Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) used to ask for permission. At this he (peace and blessings be upon him) became happy and said: "O Allah! This is Halah." At that I felt jealous, and I never felt as much jealousy over anyone as I felt over Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her). (The narrator) Minjab added in his narration: "Because he (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned her so often, even though he (peace and blessings be upon him) married me three years after her death."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: «مَا غِرْتُ عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ مَا غِرْتُ عَلَى خَدِيجَةَ، وَمَا ذَاكَ إِلَّا لِكَثْرَةِ ذِكْرِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِيَّاهَا»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: I never felt as much jealousy over any woman as I felt over Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her), and that was only because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned her so often.
حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا مُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أُتِيَ بِالشَّيْءِ، قَالَ: «اذْهَبُوا بِهِ إِلَى فُلَانَةَ فَإِنَّهَا كَانَتْ صَدِيقَةً لِخَدِيجَةَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: Whenever something was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) would say: "Take it to such-and-such a woman, for she was a friend of Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her)."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ، ثنا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ دَاوُدَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا ذَكَرَ خَدِيجَةَ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَسْأَمُ مِنْ ثَنَاءٍ عَلَيْهَا وَالِاسْتِغْفَارِ لَهَا، فَذَكَرَهَا ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ وَاحْتَمَلَتْنِي الْغَيْرَةُ إِلَى أَنْ قُلْتُ: قَدْ عَوَّضَكَ اللهُ مِنْ كَبِيرَةِ السِّنِّ، قَالَتْ: فَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَضِبَ غَضَبًا سَقَطَ فِي جِلْدِي، فَقُلْتُ فِي نَفْسِي: اللهُمَّ إِنَّكَ إِنْ أَذْهَبْتَ عَنِّي غَضَبَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ أَذْكُرْهَا بِسُوءٍ مَا بَقِيتُ، فَلَمَّا رَأَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الَّذِي قَدْ لَقِيتُ، قَالَ: «كَيْفَ قُلْتِ؟ وَاللهِ لَقَدْ آمَنَتْ بِي إِذْ كَفَرَ بِيَ النَّاسُ، وَصَدَّقَتْنِي إِذْ كَذَّبَنِي النَّاسُ، وَرُزِقَتْ مِنِّي الْوَلَدَ إِذْ حُرِمْتِيهِ مِنِّي» ، فَغَدَا بِهَا عَلَيَّ وَرَاحَ شَهْرًا
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Whenever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her), he never tired of praising her and seeking forgiveness for her. One day he (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned her, and jealousy drove me so far that I said: Allah has given you (something better) in place of an elderly woman. She said: I saw that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) became so angry that I was stunned, and I said to myself: O Allah! If You remove the anger of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) from me, I will never mention her (Sayyidah Khadijah) with anything bad as long as I live. Then when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw my state, he said: "How could you say that? By Allah! She believed in me when people disbelieved in me, she affirmed my truthfulness when people belied me, and she was blessed with children from me while you have been deprived of that from me." Then for a month he (peace and blessings be upon him) kept mentioning this, morning and evening.
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا ذَكَرَ خَدِيجَةَ أَحْسَنَ عَلَيْهَا الثَّنَاءَ، فَقُلْتُ: مَا تَذْكُرُ مِنْهَا وَقَدْ أَبْدَلَكَ اللهُ بِهَا خَيْرًا؟، قَالَ: «مَا أَبْدَلَنِي اللهُ بِهَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَا، صَدَّقَتْنِي إِذْ كَذَّبَنِي النَّاسُ، وَوَاسَتْنِي بِمَالِهَا إِذْ حَرَمَنِي النَّاسُ، وَرَزَقَنِي اللهُ مِنْهَا الْوَلَدَ إِذْ لَمْ يَرْزُقْنِي مِنْ غَيْرِهَا»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: Whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her), he praised her greatly. I said: Why do you mention her, when Allah has given you someone better in her place? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah has not given me anyone better than her. She affirmed my truthfulness when people belied me, she supported me with her wealth when people deprived me, and Allah granted me children through her when He did not grant me children through anyone else."
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ بْنِ أَيْمَنَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: دَخَلَتْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ امْرَأَةٌ، فَأُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِطَعَامٍ، فَجَعَلَ يَأْكُلُ مِنَ الطَّعَامِ وَيَضَعُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَا تَغْمُرْ يَدَيْكَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ هَذِهِ كَانَتْ تَأْتِينَا أَيَّامَ خَدِيجَةَ، وَإِنَّ حُسْنَ الْعَهْدِ، أَوْ حَفِظَ الْعَهْدِ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ» ، وَلَمَّا ذَكَرَ خَدِيجَةَ أَخَذَنِي مَا يَأْخُذُ النِّسَاءَ مِنَ الْغَيْرَةِ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدْ أَبْدَلَكَ اللهُ بِكَبِيرَةِ السِّنِّ حَدِيثَةَ السِّنِّ، فَغَضِبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " مَا ذَنْبِي أَنْ رَزَقَهَا اللهُ مِنِّي الْوَلَدَ، وَلَمْ يَرْزُقْكِ؟، قُلْتُ: وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لَا أَذْكُرُهَا بَعْدَ هَذَا إِلَّا بِخَيْرٍ
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: A woman came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), then food was brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) began eating from it and placing it in front of that woman. I said: O Messenger of Allah! Do not soil your hands so much. At this the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This woman used to come to us in the days of Khadijah, and keeping good relations, or (he said:) honouring commitments, is part of faith." And when he (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned Khadijah, the same jealousy came over me that comes over women, and I said: O Messenger of Allah! Allah has given you a young woman in place of an old woman. At this the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) became angry, then said: "What is my fault if Allah granted her children from me and did not grant you?" I said: By the One who sent you with the truth, after today I will never mention her except with good.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ثنا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ كَانَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَجَاءَتْ خَدِيجَةُ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " يَا جِبْرِيلُ هَذِهِ خَدِيجَةُ، فَقَالَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ: أَقْرِئْهَا مِنَ اللهِ السَّلَامَ وَمِنِّي "
Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Layla narrates that Jibril (peace be upon him) was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) arrived. the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Jibril! This is Khadijah." Jibril (peace be upon him) said: "Convey to her greetings of peace from Allah and from me."
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَسَنٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: جَاءَ جِبْرِيلُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ بِحِرَاءَ، فَقَالَ: هَذِهِ خَدِيجَةُ قَدْ جَاءَتْ بِحَيْسٍ فِي غَزْرَتِهَا، فَقُلْ لَهَا إِنَّ اللهَ يُقْرِئُكِ السَّلَامَ، فَلَمَّا جَاءَتْ قَالَ لَهَا: " إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ أَعْلَمَنِي بِكِ وَبِالْحَيْسِ الَّذِي فِي غَزْرَتِكِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَأْتِيَ، وَقَالَ: اللهُ يُقْرِئُهَا السَّلَامَ "، فَقَالَتْ: هُوَ السَّلَامُ وَمِنْهُ السَّلَامُ وَعَلَى جِبْرِيلَ السَّلَامُ
Sa'id bin Kathir narrates: Jibril (peace be upon him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was in the cave of Hira, and said: "Here is Khadijah coming with hays (a dish of dates, ghee and cheese mixed together) in her vessel, so tell her that Allah sends her greetings of peace." So when she arrived, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: "Jibril told me about you and about the hays in your vessel before you came, and he said that Allah sends you greetings of peace." At this she said: He is al-Salam (Peace), and from Him is peace, and upon Jibril be peace.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، فِيمَا يَحْسِبُ حَمَّادٌ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِخَدِيجَةَ: «إِنِّي أَسْمَعُ صَوْتًا، وَأَرَى ضَوْءًا، وَإِنِّي أَخْشَى أَنْ يَكُونَ بِي جَنَنٌ» ، فَقَالَتْ خَدِيجَةُ: لَمْ يَكُنِ اللهُ لِيَفْعَلْ بِكَ ذَاكَ يَا ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، ثُمَّ أَتَتْ وَرَقَةَ بْنَ نَوْفَلٍ فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ لَهُ، فَقَالَ: إِنْ يَكُنْ صَادِقًا فَإِنَّ هَذَا نَامُوسٌ مِثْلُ نَامُوسِ مُوسَى، فَإِنْ يُبْعَثْ وَأَنَا حَيٌّ فَسَأُعَزِّزُهُ وَأَنْصُرُهُ وَأُعِينُهُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) (according to what the narrator Hammad thought) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her): "I hear a voice and see a light, and I fear that I may have been touched by madness." Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Allah would never do that to you, O son of Abdullah! Then she went to Waraqah bin Nawfal and told him about this. He said: If this is true, then this is a Namus (the angel) like the Namus of Musa (peace be upon him). If he is sent as a prophet while I am alive, I will strengthen him, support him and help him.
