Sayyiduna Abu Shahm (may Allah be pleased with him), who was an idle, frivolous man, said: I saw a slave girl walking in one of the streets of Madinah, walking with support, and I reached my hand towards her waist. When the next day came, I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while the people were giving him (peace and blessings be upon him) their pledge of allegiance. I stretched out my hand and said: O Messenger of Allah! Take my pledge of allegiance. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You are the one who did the jubaydhah (the grabbing) yesterday; listen, you are the one of the jubaydhah yesterday." I said: O Messenger of Allah! Take my pledge of allegiance; by Allah, I will never do it again. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then very well."

Sayyiduna Abu Shahm (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I was in Madinah when a woman passed by me, and I seized her by the waist. I could hear the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) taking the pledge of allegiance from the people, so I came to him (peace and blessings be upon him), but he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not take my pledge and said: "The one who did the jubaydhah yesterday!" I said: By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, I will not do it again. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) took my pledge of allegiance.
