حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَدْرَدٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَسْتَعِينُهُ فِي مَهْرِ امْرَأَةٍ، فَقَالَ: «كَمْ أَصْدَقْتَهَا؟» ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: مِائَتَيْ دِرْهَمٍ، قَالَ: «لَوْ كُنْتُمْ تَغْرِفُونَ مِنْ بَطَحَانَ مَا زِدْتُمْ»
Sayyiduna Abu Hadrad al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) seeking his help with a woman's dowry (mahr). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "How much dowry did you give her?" I said: Two hundred dirhams. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Even if you were scooping (wealth) by the handful from Buthan (valley), you would not have given more than this."
حَدَّثَنَا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْعَطَّارُ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَدْرَدٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً عَلَى صَدَاقِ مِائَتَيْ دِرْهَمٍ فَأَتَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرَهُ، فَقَالَ: «لَوْ كُنْتُمْ تَغْرِفُونَ مِنْ بَطَحَانَ مَا زِدْتُمْ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hadrad al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) that he married a woman for a dowry of two hundred dirhams, then he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and informed him, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Even if you were scooping (wealth) by the handful from Buthan, you would not have given more than this."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ، ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ، ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَصْبَهَانَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَدْرَدٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: «كَمْ أَصْدَقْتَ يَا أَبَا حَدْرَدٍ؟» قُلْتُ: خَمْسَ أَوَاقٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَوْ كُنْتُمْ تَغْرِفُونَ مِنْ بَطَحَانَ مَا زِدْتُمْ»
Sayyiduna Abu Hadrad al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Abu Hadrad! How much dowry did you give?" I said: Five uqiyahs. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Even if you were scooping (wealth) by the handful from Buthan, you would not have given more than this."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ زَكَرِيَّا، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي حَدْرَدٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «تَمَعْدَدُوا وَاخْشَوْشِنُوا وَامْشُوا حُفَاةً»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hadrad (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Adopt simplicity, accustom yourselves to hardship, and walk barefoot."
حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى السَّاجِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو مُوسَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا سَالِمُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ، ثنا حَمَدُ بْنُ بَشِيرِ بْنِ أَبِي حَدْرَدٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي، عَنْ أَبِي حَدْرَدٍ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ يَسُوقُ إِبِلَنَا هَذِهِ أَوْ مَنْ يُبَلِّغُ إِبِلِنَا هَذِهِ؟» ، فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: «مَا اسْمُكَ؟» قَالَ: فُلَانٌ قَالَ: «اجْلِسْ» ، ثُمَّ قَامَ آخَرُ، قَالَ: أَنَا فَقَالَ: «مَا اسْمُكَ؟» ، قَالَ: نَاجِيَةُ فَقَالَ: «أَنْتَ لَهَا فَسُقْهَا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hadrad al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Who will drive these camels of ours, or who will deliver these camels of ours?" A man stood up, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What is your name?" He said: So-and-so. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sit down." Then another man stood up and said: I (will take them). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What is your name?" He said: Najiyah. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You are fit for it; drive them."
