حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْبَرَاءِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ الْمَدِينِيَّ، يَقُولُ: «أَبُو سَكِينَةَ لَا يُعْلَمُ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ»
Muhammad bin Ahmad bin al-Bara' said: I heard Ali bin al-Madini say: It is not known that Abu Sakinah had companionship with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَاضِي الرَّيِّ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَكِينَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «أَكْرِمُوا الْخُبْزَ فَإِنَّ اللهَ أَكْرَمَهُ، فَمَنْ أَكْرَمَ الْخُبْزَ أَكْرَمَهُ اللهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sakinah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Honour bread, for Allah has honoured it. So whoever honours bread, Allah will honour him."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو تَوْبَةَ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ بِلَالِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَكِينَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: «إِذَا مَلَكَ أَحَدُكُمْ شَيْئًا فِيهِ ثَمَنُ رَقَبَةٍ فَلْيَعْتِقْهَا فَإِنَّهُ يُفَدِّي كُلَّ عُضْوٍ مِنْهَا عُضْوًا مِنْهُ مِنَ النَّارِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sakinah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When one of you owns wealth equal to the price of a slave, let him free him, for each limb of the slave will ransom each limb of the one who frees him from the Fire."
