It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Ubayd (may Allah be pleased with him) that he cooked a pot for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Hand me the foreleg (shoulder meat)" - and he (peace and blessings be upon him) liked the foreleg - so I handed him (peace and blessings be upon him) the foreleg. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Hand me the foreleg," and I handed him the foreleg again. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Hand me the foreleg." So I said: O Prophet of Allah! How many forelegs does a sheep have? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By the One in whose hand is my soul! Had you kept quiet, I would have been given as many forelegs as the number of times I asked for it."
