حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، وَأَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ قَالَا: ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ثنا أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ، عَنْ أَبِي عَزَّةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا أَرَادَ اللهُ قَبْضَ عَبْدٍ بِأَرْضٍ جَعَلَ لَهُ إِلَيْهَا حَاجَةً»
Sayyiduna Abu Azzah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty wants to take a servant's soul in a certain land, He creates for him a need to go to that land."
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا عَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، ثنا أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا أَرَادَ اللهُ قَبْضَ عَبْدٍ بِأَرْضٍ جَعَلَ لَهُ بِهَا حَاجَةً»
Abu al-Malih (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from a man of his people, who had the honour of companionship, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty wants to take a servant's soul in a certain land, He creates for him a need there."
حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، ثنا وُهَيْبٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ قَوْمِهِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِذَا أَرَادَ اللهُ قَبْضَ عَبْدٍ بِأَرْضٍ جَعَلَ لَهُ بِهَا حَاجَةً»
Abu al-Malih (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from a man of his people that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "When Allah Almighty wants to take a servant's soul in a certain land, He creates for him a need there."
