حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ الْجَرْمِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو تُمَيْلَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: «لَقَدْ كُنْتُ أُصَافِحُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَوْ يَمَسُّ جِلْدِي جِلْدَهُ، فَأَتَعَرَّقُهُ فِي يَدَيَّ بَعْدَ ثَالِثَةٍ أَطْيَبَ رِيحًا مِنَ الْمِسْكِ»
Abd al-Jabbar bin Wa'il (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father that he said: "I used to shake hands with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), or his (peace and blessings be upon him) skin would touch my skin, and even after the third day I would still find it fragrant on my hands, more fragrant than musk."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ مِنْدَهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ شَيْبَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ فَاسْتَنْثِرَ وَخَلِّلَ أَصَابِعَهُ بِأَصَابِعِهِ»
Abd al-Jabbar bin Wa'il (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution (wudu), cleaned his nose, and passed water between his fingers.
