حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْعَلَّافُ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَحْرٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ: عَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِحَاجَتِهِ، وَعَرَضْتُ مَعَهُ بِإِدَاوَةِ مَاءٍ، وَعَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جُبَّةٌ شَامِيَّةٌ، «فَلَمَّا أَنْ قَضَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَاجَتَهُ، تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went out to relieve himself, and I went with him carrying a vessel of water. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was wearing a Syrian cloak. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had finished relieving himself, he performed ablution (wudu) and wiped over his leather socks.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، ثنا مُعَانُ بْنُ رِفَاعَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي جِلْدِ الْمَيْتَةِ: «دِبَاغُهُ طُهُورُهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said concerning the skin of a dead animal: "Its tanning is its purification."
