حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ الْكِنَانِيُّ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ مِخْمَرِ بْنِ حَيْدَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " لَا شُؤْمَ، وَقَدْ يَكُونُ الْيُمْنُ فِي ثَلَاثٍ: فِي الْمَرْأَةِ، وَالْفَرَسِ، وَالدَّارِ "
Sayyiduna Mikhmar bin Haydah al-Qushayri (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "There is no such thing as an evil omen; however, blessing may be found in three things: in a woman, in a horse, and in a house."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، ثنا أَبُو الْجُمَاهِرِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ مِخْمَرِ بْنِ حَيْدَرٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي " أَغِيبُ الشَّهْرَ عَنِ الْمَاءِ وَمَعِي أَهْلِي فَأُصِيبُ مِنْهُمْ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ» ، قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي أَغِيبُ أَشْهُرًا، قَالَ: «وَإِنْ غِبْتَ ثَلَاثِينَ سَنَةً»
Sayyiduna Mikhmar bin Haydah al-Qushayri (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: O Messenger of Allah! I stay away from water for a whole month, and my family is with me; may I have intercourse with them? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes." I said: O Messenger of Allah! I stay away for several months. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Even if you stay away for thirty years."
