حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الشِّيرَازِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ الْمُؤَذِّنُ، ثنا مَحْبُوبُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: نَزَلَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: يَا مُحَمَّدُ مَاتَ مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْمُزَنِيُّ، أَتُحِبُّ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ؟، قَالَ: «نَعَمْ» ، فَضَرَبَ بِجَنَاحَيْهِ فَلَمْ تَبْقَ شَجَرَةٌ، وَلَا أَكَمَةٌ إِلَّا تَضَعْضَعَتْ، وَرَفَعَ لَهُ سَرِيرَهُ حَتَّى نَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ، فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ وَخَلْفَهُ صَفَّانِ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ فِي كُلِّ صَفٍّ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِجِبْرِيلَ: «يَا جِبْرِيلُ مَا بَلَّغَ هَذَا هَذِهِ الْمَنْزِلَةَ مِنَ اللهِ؟» ، قَالَ: بِحُبِّهِ قُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ وَقِرَاءَتِهِ إِيَّاهَا جَائِيًا وَذَاهِبًا وَقَائِمًا وَقَاعِدًا وَعَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Jibril (peace be upon him) came down to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Muhammad, Mu'awiyah bin Mu'awiyah al-Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him) has died. Would you like to lead his funeral prayer?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes." So Jibril (peace be upon him) struck with his two wings, and no tree and no hillock remained but it was lowered, and his bier was raised up for him (peace and blessings be upon him) until he saw it. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) led the funeral prayer over him, and behind him (peace and blessings be upon him) were two rows of angels, in each row seventy thousand angels. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked Jibril (peace be upon him): "O Jibril, what brought him to this rank with Allah?" He said: "His love of the surah 'Qul huwa Allahu ahad' and his reciting it while walking about, standing, sitting and in every state."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُعَلِّمُ، ثنا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ أَبِي سَهْلٍ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ غَازِيًا تَبُوكَ " فَأَتَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: يَا مُحَمَّدُ هَلْ لَكَ فِي جَنَازَةِ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْمُزَنِيِّ؟، قَالَ: «نَعَمْ» ، فَقَالَ جِبْرِيلُ: بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا، فَفَرَّجَ لَهُ عَنِ الْجِبَالِ وَالْآكَامِ، فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْشِي وَمَعَهُ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَمَعَ جِبْرِيلُ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ، فَصَلَّى عَلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِجِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ: «بِمَ بَلَغَ مُعَاوِيَةُ هَذَا؟» ، قَالَ: بِكَثْرَةِ قِرَاءَتِهِ قُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ، كَانَ يَقْرَؤُهَا قَائِمًا وَقَاعِدًا وَرَاقِدًا وَمَاشِيًا، فَهَذَا بَلَغَ بِهِ مَا بَلَغَ
When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was on the expedition of Tabuk, Jibril (peace be upon him) came to him (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Muhammad, would you like to go to the funeral of Mu'awiyah bin Mu'awiyah al-Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him)?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes." So Jibril (peace be upon him) gestured with his hand like this, and moved the mountains and hillocks aside for him. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went walking, and with him (peace and blessings be upon him) was Jibril (peace be upon him), and with Jibril (peace be upon him) were seventy thousand angels, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) led the funeral prayer over Mu'awiyah bin Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked Jibril (peace be upon him): "By what did Mu'awiyah attain this rank?" He said: "By reciting the surah 'Qul huwa Allahu ahad' abundantly; he used to recite it standing, sitting, lying down and walking. That is why he attained this rank."
