حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْعَلَاءِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ وَثِيمَةَ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ زِبْرِيقٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ، ثنا نُمَيْرُ بْنُ أَوْسٍ، أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، كَانَ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «لَا تَزَالُ مِنْ أُمَّتِي أُمَّةٌ قَائِمَةً عَلَى أَمْرِ اللهِ لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ مَنْ خَالَفَهُمْ أَوْ خَذَلَهُمْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ أَمْرُ اللهِ وَهُمْ ظَاهِرُونَ عَلَى النَّاسِ»
Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Abi Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "A group from my Ummah will always remain steadfast upon the command of Allah; those who oppose them or forsake them will not be able to harm them, until the command of Allah comes while they are dominant over the people."
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْعَلَاءِ، ثنا أَبِي، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ وَثِيمَةَ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ زِبْرِيقٍ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ، ثنا نُمَيْرُ بْنُ أَوْسٍ، أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، كَانَ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ يُرِدِ اللهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا يُفَقِّهْهُ فِي الدِّينِ»
Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Abi Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever Allah intends good for, He grants him understanding of the religion."
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْعَلَاءِ، ثنا أَبِي ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ وَثِيمَةَ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ زِبْرِيقٍ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَالِمٍ، ثنا نُمَيْرُ بْنُ أَوْسٍ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ، أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ، أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كَانَ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ أَحَبَّ لِقَاءَ اللهِ أَحَبَّ اللهُ لِقَاءَهُ، وَمَنْ كَرِهَ لِقَاءَ اللهِ كَرِهَ اللهُ لِقَاءَهُ»
The Commander of the Believers, Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), used to say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever loves the meeting with Allah, Allah also loves the meeting with him; and whoever dislikes the meeting with Allah, Allah also dislikes the meeting with him."
