حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ بُرْقَانَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ بِيَدِهِ قُصَّةٌ مِنْ قُصَصِ النِّسَاءِ، يَقُولُ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ مِثْلِ هَذَا، وَقَالَ: «إِنَّمَا هَلَكَتْ بَنِو إِسْرَائِيلَ حِينَ اتَّخَذَ نِسَاؤُهُمْ هَذَا»
Yazid bin al-Asamm (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I heard Mu'awiyah bin Abi Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) in Madinah, holding in his hand one of women's locks of hair, saying: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the like of this, and said: "The Children of Israel were destroyed only when their women adopted this."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الرَّازِيُّ، ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا شَرَاحِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بُرْقَانَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «مَنْ يُرِدِ اللهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا يُفَقِّهْهُ فِي الدِّينِ»
Yazid bin al-Asamm (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I heard Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) giving a sermon on the pulpit, saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "When Allah intends good for someone, He grants him understanding of the religion."
