فضل المدني، عن معاوية
Fadl al-Madani from Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 16844 — I heard Mu'awiyah, and he had with him
حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ، حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ فَضْلٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَمَعَهُ قُصَّةُ النِّسَاءِ، فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ زَادَ فِي شَعْرِهِ شَيْئًا لَيْسَ مِنْهُ فَإِنَّهُ يَزِيدُ فِيهِ زُورًا»
Fadl (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I heard Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), and he had with him a lock of women's hair, and he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever adds to his hair something that is not of it adds deception to it."
