حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، ثنا أَسْبَاطُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، أَنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ الْعَاصِ، قَالَ لِمُعَاوِيَةَ: يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَمَا سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ حِينَ كَانَ يَبْنِي الْمَسْجِدَ لِعَمَّارٍ: «إِنَّكَ لَحَرِيصٌ عَلَى الْجِهَادِ، وَإِنَّكَ لِمَنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ، وَلَتَقْتُلُكَ الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ» ، قَالَ: بَلَى، قَالَ: فَلِمَ قَتَلْتُمُوهُ؟ قَالَ: «وَاللهِ مَا تَزَالُ تَدْحَضُ فِي بَوْلِكَ، أَنَحْنُ قَتَلْنَاهُ؟، إِنَّمَا قَتَلَهُ الَّذِي جَاءَ بِهِ»
Imam al-A'mash (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates, through Abdul Rahman bin Abi Ziyad (may Allah have mercy on him), from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Sayyiduna Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him): "O Commander of the Believers! Did you not hear the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say, while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was building the mosque, to Sayyiduna Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him): 'You are eager for jihad, you are among the people of Paradise, and the rebellious group will kill you'?" He said: "Certainly." He said: "Then why did you kill him?" He said: "By Allah! You keep slipping in your own urine. Did we kill him? He was killed only by the one who brought him (to the battlefield)."
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْبَاطِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثنا أَبِي، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَمْرَو بْنَ الْعَاصِ، وَعَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو، وَمُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ يَقُولُونَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِعَمَّارٍ: «تَقْتُلُكَ الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ»
Imam al-A'mash (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates, through Abdul Rahman bin Abi Ziyad (may Allah have mercy on him), from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Harith bin Nawfal (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he heard Sayyiduna Amr bin al-As, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr and Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Abi Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with them) saying: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him): "The rebellious group will kill you."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى زَحْمَوَيْهِ، ثنا صَالِحُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ السَّدُوسِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، وَكَانَ مُعَاوِيَةُ خَالَهُ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ عِنْدَ مُعَاوِيَةَ بَعْدَ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ، فَأَبْصَرَ نَاسًا يُصَلُّونَ بَعْدَهَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ، فَقَالَ: «مَا هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةُ؟، قَدْ صَلَّيْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَمَا رَأَيْنَا أَحَدًا يُصَلِّيهَا»
Imam Hanzalah al-Sadusi (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with them both), and Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) was his maternal uncle, who said: I was with Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) after the Asr prayer, and he saw some people praying two rak'ahs after it. He said: "What is this prayer? We prayed with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and we never saw anyone pray it."
