حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، ثنا مَسْلَمَةُ بْنُ عُلَيٍّ، ثنا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَائِذٍ، عَنْ لَقِيطِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ السَّكُونِيِّ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ لَهُ: إِنَّ لَنَا جَارًا يَشْرَبُ الْخَمْرَ وَيَأْتِي الْقَبِيحَ، فَارْفَعْ أَمْرَهُ إِلَى السُّلْطَانِ، قَالَ: «لَقَدْ قَتَلْتُ تِسْعًا وَتِسْعِينَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، مَا أُحِبُّ أَنِّي قَتَلْتُ مِثْلَهُمْ وَأَنِّي كَشَفْتُ قِنَاعَ مُسْلِمٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Laqit bin Artah al-Sakuni (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man said to him: We have a neighbour who drinks wine and does shameful things; take his case to the ruler. He said: "I have killed ninety-nine alongside the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); I would not like to kill as many more of their like and to expose the cover of a Muslim."
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ زِبْرِيقٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو عَلْقَمَةَ نَصْرُ بْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ، حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ نَصْرِ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ مَحْفُوظِ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَائِذٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ لَقِيطُ بْنُ صَبْرَةَ السَّكُونِيُّ: «أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَرِجْلَايَ مِعْوَجَّتَانِ لَا تَمَسَّانِ الْأَرْضَ، فَدَعَا لِي فَمَشَيْتُ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ»
Sayyiduna Laqit bin Sabrah al-Sakuni (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when both my feet were crooked and did not touch the ground; he (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated for me, and I began walking on the ground.
