حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ رَاهَوَيْهِ، أَنَّ مُعَاذَ بْنَ هِشَامٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، أَنَّ غُلَامًا لِأُنَاسٍ فُقَرَاءَ قَطَعَ أُذُنَ غُلَامٍ لِأُنَاسٍ أَغْنِيَاءَ، فَأَتَى أَهْلُهُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا فُقَرَاءُ، «فَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ عَلَيْهِمْ شَيْئًا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that a boy belonging to some poor people cut off the ear of a boy belonging to some rich people. His family came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, we are poor." "So he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not impose any compensation on them."
حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ الْعَبَّادَانِيُّ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلُ، قَالَا: ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ: " مَا سَافَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ، وَأَقَامَ بِمَكَّةَ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ يَوْمًا، كَانَ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ: «يَا أَهْلَ مَكَّةَ قُومُوا فَصَلُّوا رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَأَنَا سَفْرٌ» ، وَغَزَا الطَّائِفَ وَحَنِينًا فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ أَتَى الْجِعِرَّانَةَ فَاعْتَمَرَ مِنْهَا
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Whenever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) travelled, he would pray only two rak'ahs until he returned. He stayed in Makkah for twelve days, praying two rak'ahs, and then he would say: "O people of Makkah, stand and pray two (more) rak'ahs, for I am a traveller." He (peace and blessings be upon him) fought the campaigns of Ta'if and Hunayn and prayed two rak'ahs, then he came to al-Ji'ranah and performed Umrah from there.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، ثنا هُشَيْمٌ، أَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ
A similar hadith is also narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him).
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ قَالَ: مَرَّ عِمْرَانُ بْنُ الْحُصَيْنِ فِي مَجْلِسِنَا فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ فَتًى مِنَ الْقَوْمِ، فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْغَزْوِ وَالْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ، فَجَاءَ فَوَقَفَ عَلَيْنَا فَقَالَ: إِنَّ هَذَا سَأَلَنِي عَنْ أَمَرٍ فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ تَسْمَعُوهُ، «غَزَوْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ إِلَّا رَكْعَتَيْنِ حَتَّى رَجَعَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ، وَشَهِدْتُ مَعَهُ الْفَتْحَ، قَامَ بِمَكَّةَ ثَمَانِ عَشْرَةَ لَيْلَةً لَا يُصَلِّي إِلَّا رَكْعَتَيْنِ» وَحَجَجْتُ مَعَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَغَزَوْتُ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ إِلَّا رَكْعَتَيْنِ حَتَّى رَجَعَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ، وَحَجَجْتُ مَعَ عُثْمَانَ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ مِنْ إِمَارَتِهِ لَا يُصَلِّي إِلَّا رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى بِمِنًى أَرْبَعًا "
Abu Nadrah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by our gathering, and a young man from among the people stood up to him and asked him about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) during military campaigns, Hajj and Umrah. So he came and stood over us and said: "This man has asked me about a matter, and I want you to hear it too: I went on a campaign with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed only two rak'ahs until he returned to Madinah. I was present with him (peace and blessings be upon him) at the Conquest of Makkah; he (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed in Makkah for eighteen nights and prayed only two rak'ahs." And I performed Hajj with Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and also went on a campaign (with him), and he prayed only two rak'ahs until he returned to Madinah. And I performed Hajj with Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) for seven years of his caliphate; he prayed only two rak'ahs, then he prayed four rak'ahs at Mina.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَارُودِيُّ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ: غَزَوْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكَانَ لَا يُصَلِّي إِلَّا رَكْعَتَيْنِ حَتَّى رَجَعَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ، وَحَجَجْتُ مَعَهُ فَكَانَ لَا يُصَلِّي إِلَّا رَكْعَتَيْنِ حَتَّى رَجَعَ فَأَقَامَ بِمَكَّةَ ثَمَانِ عَشْرَةَ لَيْلَةً يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَيَقُولُ: «أَتِمُّوا الصَّلَاةَ يَا أَهْلَ مَكَّةَ فَإِنَّا سَفْرٌ»
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I went on a campaign with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed only two rak'ahs until he returned to Madinah. I performed Hajj with him (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed only two rak'ahs until he returned. He stayed in Makkah for eighteen nights, praying two rak'ahs and saying: "O people of Makkah, complete your prayer, for we are travellers."
حَدَّثَنَا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ الْحَدَّادُ، ثنا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا يَاسِينُ الزَّيَّاتُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ: لَمَّا فَتْحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَكَّةَ أَقَامَ بِهَا ثَمَانِ عَشْرَةَ لَيْلَةً يُصَلِّي بِأَهْلِ مَكَّةَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ إِلَّا الْمَغْرِبَ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ: «يَا أَهْلَ مَكَّةَ أَتِمُّوا صَلَاتَكُمْ فَإِنَّا قَوْمٌ سَفْرٌ»
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) conquered Makkah, he stayed there for eighteen nights, leading the people of Makkah in two rak'ahs in every prayer except Maghrib, and then he would say: "O people of Makkah, complete your prayers, for we are a people on a journey."
