The paternal uncle of Zuhrah bin Ma'bad narrates that Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the Battle of Tabuk. I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was speaking to his Companions, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever performs ablution (wudu) and performs ablution well, then prays two rak'ahs, he becomes as free of his sins as he was on the day his mother gave birth to him." So I said: All praise is for Allah who granted me that I heard this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).

Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever performs ablution (wudu) and completes his ablution, then raises his head towards the sky and says: I bear witness that there is no god worthy of worship except Allah, alone, without partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, all eight gates of Paradise are opened for him; he may enter through whichever of them he wishes."
