It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a woman came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, may I perform Hajj on behalf of my mother? She has passed away. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Tell me, if your mother had owed a debt and you paid it off, would it not have been accepted?" She said: Of course. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered her to perform Hajj on her behalf. Then another woman came and said: May I take my suckling son with me on Hajj? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes."
