حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّمَّارُ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْمُؤَدِّبُ، ثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ، قَالُوا: ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ مُرِّيِّ بْنِ قَطَرِيٍّ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ أَحَدُنَا أَصَابَ صَيْدًا وَلَيْسَ مَعَهُ سِكِّينٌ أَيُذَكِّي بِالْمَرْوَةِ أَوْ شِقَّةِ الْعَصَا؟ فَقَالَ: «أَمْرِرِ الدَّمَ بِمَا شِئْتَ وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللهِ»
Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: O Messenger of Allah! If one of us catches game and has no knife with him, may he slaughter it with a sharp stone or a split piece of wood? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Make the blood flow with whatever you can, and mention the name of Allah."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثَنَا آدَمُ، ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ثَنَا سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُرِّيَّ بْنَ قَطَرِيٍّ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَذْبَحُ بِالْمَرْوَةِ وَالْعَصَا؟ فَقَالَ: «أَمْرِرِ الدَّمَ بِمَا شِئْتَ وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللهِ وَكُلْ»
Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): May I slaughter with a stone and a stick? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Make the blood flow with whatever you can, mention the name of Allah, and eat."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدُوسِ بْنِ كَامِلٍ، ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ، أَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُرِّيَّ بْنَ قَطَرِيٍّ، يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إنِّي أُرْسِلُ كَلْبِي فَيَأْخُذُ الصَّيْدَ فَلَا أَجِدُ مَا أَذْبَحُهُ إلَّا الْمَرْوَةَ وَالْعَصَا، قَالَ: «أَمْرِرِ الدَّمَ بِمَا شِئْتَ وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللهِ»
Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: O Messenger of Allah! I send my dog and it catches the game, but I find nothing to slaughter it with except a sharp stone and a stick? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Make the blood flow with whatever you can, and mention the name of Allah."
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، أَخْبَرَنِي سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ مُرِّيِّ بْنِ قَطَرِيٍّ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الصَّيْدِ أَصِيدُهُ؟ فَقَالَ: «أَنْهِرُوا الدَّمَ بِمَا شِئْتُمْ وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللهِ تَعَالَى»
Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about the game that I hunt. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Make the blood flow with whatever you can, and mention the name of Allah Almighty."
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ قَالَ: ثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَا: ثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ مُرِّيِّ بْنِ قَطَرِيٍّ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إنَّا نُرْسِلُ كِلَابًا مُعَلَّمَةً فَقَالَ: «إِذَا ذَكَرْتَ اسْمَ اللهِ فَكُلْ» قُلْتُ: وَإِنْ قَتَلْنَ؟ قَالَ: «وَإِنْ قَتَلْنَ»
Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: O Messenger of Allah! We send trained dogs? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you have mentioned the name of Allah, then eat." I said: Even if they kill it? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Even if they kill it."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدُوسِ بْنِ كَامِلٍ، ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ، ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُرِّيَّ بْنَ قَطَرِيٍّ، يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ أَبِي كَانَ يَصِلُ الرَّحِمَ وَيَفْعَلُ وَيَفْعَلُ، قَالَ: «إِنَّ أَبَاكَ أَرَادَ أَمْرًا فَأَدْرَكَهُ» - يَعْنِي الذِّكْرَ
Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: O Messenger of Allah! My father used to maintain ties of kinship and do such and such (good) deeds? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your father sought something, and he attained it" - meaning a good name (in this world).
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدُوسِ بْنِ كَامِلٍ، ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ، ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُرِّيَّ بْنَ قَطَرِيٍّ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عَنْ طَعَامٍ أدَعُهُ لَا أدَعُهُ إلَّا تَحَرُّجًا قَالَ: «لَا تَدَعْ شَيْئًا ضَارَعْتَ النَّصْرَانِيَّةَ فِيهِ»
Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: O Messenger of Allah! I ask you about a food which I avoid, and I avoid it only out of caution (fear of sin)? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not avoid anything in which you would be imitating Christianity."
