حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثَنَا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ سَبِيلٍ، قَالَ: خَطَبَ عَمْرُو بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ إِلَى عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ ابْنَتَهُ فَقَالَ: «لَا أُزَوِّجُكَ إلَّا عَلَى حُكْمِي» فَقَالَ: لَكَ حُكْمُكَ، قَالَ: «لَيْسَتَ بِأَخْيَرَ مِنْ بَنَاتِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ» فَزَوَّجَهُ عَلَى الْفَرِيضَةِ
Al-Mughirah bin Sabil narrated: Amr bin Hurayth sent a proposal of marriage for the daughter of Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him). He said: "I will marry her to you only on my own terms." He said: Your terms are accepted. He said: "She is not better than the daughters of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." So he married her to him on the fixed dowry (faridah).
