حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ الرَّقِّيُّ، ثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ، ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إنَّا نُرْسِلُ كِلَابًا لَنَا مُعَلَّمَةً فَقَالَ: «مَا أَمْسَكْنَ عَلَيْكَ فَكُلْ» قُلْتُ: وَإِنْ قَتَلَ؟ قَالَ: «وَإِنْ قَتَلَ مَا لَمْ يُشْرِكْنَ كَلْبًا مِنْ غَيْرِهِنَّ»

Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, we send out our trained dogs?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Eat what they hold for you." I said: "Even if they kill (the game)?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Even if they kill, as long as no other dog joins them."

Hadith 14275

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ قَالَا: ثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى السَّاجِيُّ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زُنْبُورٍ قَالَا: ثَنَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أُرْسِلُ كِلَابِي الْمُعَلَّمَةَ فَيُمْسِكْنَ عَلَيَّ أَفَآكُلُ؟ قَالَ: «إِذَا أَرْسَلْتَ كِلَابَكَ الْمُعَلَّمَةَ فَأَمْسَكْنَ عَلَيْكَ فَكُلْ» قُلْتُ: وَإِنْ قَتَلْنَ؟ قَالَ: «وَإِنْ قَتَلْنَ مَا لَمْ يُشْرِكْهُمْ كَلْبٌ سِوَاهُمْ» قُلْتُ: أَرْمِي بِالْمِعْرَاضِ فَيَخْزِقُ قَالَ: إنْ خَزَقَ فَكُلْ، وَإِنْ أَصَابَ بِعَرْضِهِ فَلَا تَأْكُلْ "

Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, I send out my trained dogs and they hold (the game) for me; may I eat it?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you send out your trained dogs and they hold it for you, then eat." I said: "Even if they kill it?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Even if they kill it, as long as no other dog joins them." I said: "I shoot with the mi'rad and it pierces (the game)?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If it pierces, eat; and if it strikes with its broad side, do not eat."

Hadith 14276

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حُصَيْنٍ الْقَاضِي، ثَنَا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إنَّا نُرْسِلُ كِلَابًا فَيُمْسِكْنَ عَلَيْنَا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا كَانَتْ مُكَلَّبَةً وَذَكَرْتَ اسْمَ اللهِ فَكُلْ، قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، وَإِنْ قَتَلْنَ؟ قَالَ: «وَإِنْ قَتَلْنَ مَا لَمْ يُشارِكْهَا كِلَابٌ مِنْ غَيْرِهَا» قُلْتُ: أَجِدُ مَا يُرْمى بِالْمِعْرَاضِ؟ قَالَ: «إِذَا ذَكَرْتَ اسْمَ اللهِ وَخَزَقَ فَكُلْ، وَإِنْ قَتَلَ فَلَا تَأْكُلْ»

Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, we send out our dogs and they hold (the game) for us?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If they are trained and you mentioned the name of Allah, then eat." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, even if they kill it?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Even if they kill it, as long as other dogs do not join them." I said: "I shoot with the mi'rad and find something?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you mentioned the name of Allah and it pierced, then eat; and if it killed (with its broad side), do not eat."

Hadith 14278

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أُرْسِلُ كِلَابِي وَأُسَمِّي أَفَآكُلُ مِمَّا أَمْسَكْنَ عَلَيَّ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ» قُلْتُ: وَإِنْ قَتَلَتْ؟ قَالَ: «وَإِنْ قَتَلَتْ إلَّا أَنْ يَدْخُلَهَا كَلْبٌ مِنْ غَيْرِهَا» ، قُلْتُ: وَالْمِعْراضُ أَرْمِي بِهِ وَأُسَمِّي؟ قَالَ: «إنْ خَزَقَ فَكُلْ وَإِنْ أَصَابَهُ بِعَرْضِهِ فَلَا تَأْكُلْ»

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), saying: "O Messenger of Allah, I send out my dogs and mention the name (of Allah); may I eat from what they hold for me?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes." I said: "Even if they kill it?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Even if they kill it, unless another dog joins them." I said: "And the mi'rad, which I shoot while mentioning the name (of Allah)?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If it pierces, eat; and if it strikes with its broad side, do not eat."
