حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الرَّازِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُصَرِّفُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْيَامِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، قَالَ: صَلَّى بِنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ يَوْمَ عِيدٍ، ثُمَّ خَطَبَ بَعْدَ الصَّلَاةِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: «كُلٌّ سُنَّةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَيَّرَ فُلَانٌ حَتَّى الصَّلَاةَ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them both) led us in prayer on the day of Eid, then delivered the sermon after the prayer and said: "So-and-so has changed every sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), even the prayer."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نَاجِيَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْقَطَّانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، قَالَ: كَتَبَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ إِلَى ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، وَكَانَ اسْتَعْمَلَهُ عَلَى الْعِرَاقِ يَسْأَلُهُ عَنِ الْجَدِّ، فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ: إِنَّ الَّذِي قَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَوْ كُنْتُ مُتَّخِذًا خَلِيلًا لَاتَّخَذْتُهُ خَلِيلًا» ، جَعَلَ الْجَدَّ أَبًا يَجُوزُ إِلَيْهِ الْمَالَ
Wahb bin Kaysan relates that Abdullah bin Utbah, whom Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them both) had appointed as governor over Iraq, wrote to him asking about (the inheritance of) the grandfather. So he wrote back in reply: The one (Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him) about whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If I were to take a khalil (intimate friend), I would have taken him as a khalil," placed the grandfather in the position of the father, by which he becomes entitled to the inheritance.
