حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ، قَالَ: ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، جَمِيعًا، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: لَمَّا جَاءَ نَعْيُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اصْنَعُوا لِآلِ جَعْفَرٍ طَعَامًا، فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ جَاءَهُمْ أَمَرٌ يَشْغَلُهُمْ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with them both) relates that when the news of the martyrdom of Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) came, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Prepare food for the family of Ja'far, for a matter has come upon them that will keep them occupied."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، قَالَ: ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ، قَالَ: ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: «مَرَّ بِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَأَنَا مَعَ غِلْمَةٍ لِبَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، فَحَمَلَنِي وَغُلَامًا آخَرَ عَلَى دَابَّةٍ كَانَ عَلَيْهَا، فَكُنَّا عَلَيْهَا ثَلَاثَةً»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with them both) relates: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by me while I was with some boys of Banu Abd al-Muttalib, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) mounted me and another boy on the riding animal he was on, so there were three of us on it."
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ: ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ، قَالَ: ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ ثَلَاثًا، وَقَالَ: «اللهُمَّ اخْلُفْ جَعْفَرًا فِي أَهْلِهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his hand over his head three times and said: "O Allah, be a good successor to Ja'far in his family."
