حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَا تُشَدُّ الرِّحَالُ إِلَّا إِلَى ثَلَاثَةِ مَسَاجِدَ مَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ، وَمَسْجِدِ الْمَدِينَةِ، وَمَسْجِدِ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Journeys are not to be undertaken except to three mosques: al-Masjid al-Haram, the Mosque of Madinah, and the Mosque of Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem)."
حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الدِّمْيَاطِيُّ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، ثنا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، أَخْبَرَهُ وَقَدْ كَانَ وَهْبٌ أَدْرَكَ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ: أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ رَأَى رَاعِيًا وَغَنَمًا فِي مَكَانٍ قَبِيحٍ , وَقَدْ رَأَى ابْنُ عُمَرَ مَكَانًا أَمْثَلَ مِنْهُ، فقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ: وَيْحَكَ يَا رَاعي حَوِّلْهَا، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «كُلُّ رَاعٍ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ»
Wahb bin Kaysan (may Allah have mercy on him), who had lived in the time of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), narrates that Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) saw a shepherd with his goats in a bad place, while Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) had seen a better place than it. So Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Woe to you, O shepherd! Move them, for I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Every shepherd is responsible for his flock."
حَدَّثَنَا مَسْعَدَةُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْعَطَّارُ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِزَامِيُّ، ثنا مَعْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى، ثنا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّمَا أَجَلُكُمْ فِيمَا خَلَا مِنَ الْأُمَمِ كَمَا بَيْنَ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ إِلَى مَغْرِبِ الشَّمْسِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your lifespan compared with the nations that have passed is only like the time between the Asr prayer and the setting of the sun."
