حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو بِلَالٍ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّهْشَلِيُّ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ وَثَّابٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ثَمَانِ رَكَعَاتٍ، وَيُوتِرُ بِثَلَاثٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would pray eight rak'ahs at night and pray three rak'ahs of witr.
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ السَّدُوسِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو بِلَالٍ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الصُّبْحِ، عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ وَثَّابٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ سَمِعَ صَوْتَ نَاقُوسٍ، أَوْ دَخَلَ كَنِيسَةً أَوْ بَيْعَةً أَوْ بَيْتَ نَارٍ أَوْ أَصْنَامٍ، فَقَالَ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَلَا نَعْبُدُ إِلَّا اللهَ كَتَبَ اللهُ لَهُ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ عَدَدَ مَنْ لَمْ يَقُلْهَا أَوْ كُتِبَ عِنْدَ اللهِ صَدِّيقًا "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever hears the sound of a church bell, or enters a church, a place of worship, a fire temple or an idol house, and says: 'La ilaha illa Allah, wa la na'budu illa Allah' (There is no god worthy of worship but Allah, and we worship none but Allah), Allah will record for him a reward equal to the number of those who do not say it, or he will be recorded with Allah as a siddiq (truthful one)."
