حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، وَأَبُو زُرْعَةَ، قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا زُفَرُ بْنُ الْهُذَيْلِ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللهُ عَنْهُما، قَالَ: «مَا قَاتَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَوْمًا قَطُّ حَتَّى يَدْعُوَهُمْ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) never fought any people until he had (first) invited them (to Islam).
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: «مَا قَاتَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَوْمًا قَطُّ إِلَّا دَعَاهُمْ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) never fought any people without first inviting them (to Islam).
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: «مَا قَاتَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَوْمًا قَطُّ حَتَّى يَدْعُوَهُمْ»
