It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to Uthman bin Maz'un (may Allah be pleased with him) on the day he died, and bent over him as though he were giving him some counsel. Then he raised his head, and the people saw the traces of weeping in his (peace and blessings be upon him) eyes. Then he bent over him a second time, then he (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his head, and the people saw that he (peace and blessings be upon him) was weeping. Then he bent over him a third time, then raised his head, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) was sobbing; so the people knew that he had died. The people began to weep, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Stop! This is only from Satan; seek Allah's forgiveness." Then he said: "Depart (from the world), O Abu al-Sa'ib; you have left it without being stained by anything of it."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that on the day Sa'd bin Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) was buried, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting at his grave, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If anyone could have been saved from the trial of the grave, Sa'd bin Mu'adh would surely have been saved. He was indeed squeezed once, then the pressure on him was relaxed."
