حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ سَوْرَةَ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْأَبَّارُ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ اللَّاحِقِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ بُجَيْرٍ الْقَيْسِيُّ، عَنْ سَيَّارٍ الشَّامِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: «يَخْرُجُ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ قَوْمٌ مَعَهُمْ سِيَاطٌ كَأَنَّهَا أَذْنَابُ الْبَقَرِ، يَغْدُونَ فِي سَخَطِ اللهِ، وَيَرُوحُونَ فِي غَضَبِهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A people will emerge from this Ummah who will have whips like the tails of cattle; they will go out in the morning under the displeasure of Allah and return in the evening under His wrath."
حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ سَيَّارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَضَّلَنِي عَلَى الْأَنْبِيَاءِ - أَوْ قَالَ أُمَّتِي عَلَى الْأُمَمِ - بِأَرْبَعٍ: أَرْسَلَنِي إِلَى النَّاسِ كَافَّةً، وَجَعَلَ الْأَرْضَ كُلَّهَا لِي وَلِأُمَّتِي طَهُورًا وَمَسْجِدًا، فَأَيْنَمَا أَدْرَكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي الصَّلَاةَ، فَعِنْدَهُ مَسْجِدُهُ، وَعِنْدَهُ طَهُورُهُ، وَنُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ مَسِيرَةَ شَهْرٍ، وَأُحِلَّ لِيَ الْغَنَائِمُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has favoured me over the prophets - or he said: my Ummah over the other nations - with four things: He sent me to all people; He made the whole earth a means of purification and a place of prayer (masjid) for me and my Ummah, so wherever the time of prayer comes upon any man of my Ummah, there is his place of prayer and there is his means of purification; I have been helped with awe (struck into the enemy) from a distance of a month's journey; and the spoils of war have been made lawful for me."
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ سَيَّارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ
A similar hadith is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him).
