حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الدِّمْيَاطِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: «تَدْنُو الشَّمْسُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَلَى قِيدِ مِيلٍ، وَيُزَادُ فِي حَرِّهَا كَذَا وَكَذَا يَغْلِي مِنَ الْهَوَامِّ كَمَا تَغْلِي الْقُدُورُ عَلَى الْأَثَافِيِّ، يَعْرَقُونَ مِنْهَا عَلَى خَطَايَاهُمْ، مِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَبْلُغُ إِلَى كَعْبَيْهِ، وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَبْلُغُ إِلَى سَاقَيْهِ، وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَبْلُغُ إِلَى وَسَطِهِ، وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يُلْجِمُهُ الْعَرَقُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection the sun will draw near to a distance of a mile, and its heat will be increased by such and such, so that people will boil as pots boil upon the stove. They will sweat in it according to their sins: for some the sweat will reach their ankles, for some their shins, for some their waists, and for some the sweat will reach their mouths like a bridle."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَزْرَقُ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ قَامَتْ ثُلَّةٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ يَسُدُّونَ الْأُفُقَ، نُورُهُمْ كَالشَّمْسِ فَيُقَالُ: النَّبِيَّ الْأُمِّيَّ، فَيَتَحَسَّسُ لَهَا كُلُّ نَبِيٍّ فَيُقَالُ: مُحَمَّدٌ وَأُمَّتُهُ، ثُمَّ تَقُومُ ثُلَّةٌ أُخْرَى تَسُدُّ مَا بَيْنَ الْأُفُقِ، نُورُهُمْ كَالْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ، فَيُقَالُ: النَّبِيَّ الْأُمِّيَّ، فَيَتَحَسَّسُ لَهَا كُلُّ نَبِيٍّ، فَيُقَالُ: مُحَمَّدٌ وَأُمَّتُهُ، ثُمَّ تَقُومُ ثُلَّةٌ أُخْرَى تَسُدُّ مَا بَيْنَ الْأُفُقِ نُورُهُمْ مِثْلُ كَوْكَبٍ فِي السَّمَاءِ، فَيُقَالُ: النَّبِيَّ الْأُمِّيَّ، فَيَتَحَسَّسُ لَهَا كُلُّ نَبِيٍّ، فَيُقَالُ: مُحَمَّدٌ وَأُمَّتُهُ، ثُمَّ يَحْثِي حَثْيَتَيْنِ، فَيَقُولُ: هَذَا لَكَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ، وَهَذَا مِنِّي لَكَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ، ثُمَّ يُوضَعُ الْمِيزَانُ، وَيُؤْخَذُ فِي الْحِسَابِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When it is the Day of Resurrection, a multitude will stand up that will fill the horizon, their light like the sun, and it will be said: The unlettered Prophet (where is his Ummah)? Every prophet will look for it, and it will be said: Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Ummah. Then another multitude will stand up that will fill the horizon, their light like the moon on the night of the full moon, and it will be said: The unlettered Prophet? Every prophet will look for it, and it will be said: Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Ummah. Then another multitude will stand up that will fill the horizon, their light like a star in the sky, and it will be said: The unlettered Prophet? Every prophet will look for it, and it will be said: Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Ummah. Then (Allah Almighty) will give two handfuls and say: This is for you, O Muhammad, and this is from Me for you, O Muhammad. Then the Scale will be set up, and the reckoning will begin."
