حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مِسْمَعٍ الصَّفَّارُ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، رَفَعَهُ: " الْكَنُودُ: الَّذِي يَضْرِبُ عَبْدَهُ، وَيَمْنَعُ رِفْدَهُ، وَيَأْكُلُ وَحْدَهُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) as a marfu' report (from the Prophet): "The ungrateful one (kanud) is the one who beats his slave, withholds his help and eats alone."
