حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا هَمَّامٌ، ثنا قَتَادَةُ، وَمَطَرٌ الْوَرَّاقُ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ، قَالَ: وَقَعَ الطَّاعُونُ بِالشَّامِ، فَخَطَبَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ هَذَا الطَّاعُونَ رِجْسٌ، فَفِرُّوا مِنْهُ فِي الْأَوْدِيَةِ وَالشِّعَابِ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ شُرَحْبِيلَ ابْنَ حَسَنَةَ، فَقَالَ: كَذَبَ عَمْرٌو , صَحِبْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَعَمْرٌو أَضَلُّ مِنْ حِمَارِ أَهْلِهِ، «وَلَكِنَّهُ رَحْمَةُ رَبِّكُمْ، وَدَعْوَةُ نَبِيِّكُمْ، وَوَفَاةُ الصَّالِحِينَ قَبْلَكُمْ»
Abd al-Rahman bin Ghanm (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The plague broke out in Syria, and Sayyiduna Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) addressed us and said: This plague is a filth, so flee from it into the valleys and mountain passes. This reached Sayyiduna Shurahbil Ibn Hasanah (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said: Amr has spoken falsely. I accompanied the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and Amr is more astray than his family's donkey. Rather, it is the mercy of your Lord, the supplication of your Prophet, and the death of the righteous before you.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، وَأَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَا: ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلِ بْنِ شُفْعَةَ، قَالَ: وَقَعَ الطَّاعُونُ بِالشَّامِ، فَقَامَ عَمْرٌو، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ هَذَا الرِّجْسَ قَدْ وَقَعَ، فَتَفَرَّقُوا عَنْهُ، قَالَ ابْنُ حَسَنَةَ: قَدْ صَحِبْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , وَهُوَ أَضَلُّ مِنْ حِمَارِ أَهْلِهِ، «إِنَّمَا هِيَ رَحْمَةُ رَبِّكُمْ , وَدَعْوَةُ نَبِيِّكُمْ , وَمَوْتُ الصَّالِحِينَ قَبْلَكُمْ، فَاجْتَمِعُوا لَهُ، وَلَا تَفَرَّقُوا عَنْهُ» ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ عَمْرًا، فَقَالَ: صَدَقَ
Shurahbil bin Shuf'ah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The plague broke out in Syria, and Sayyiduna Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and said: This filth (epidemic) has descended, so disperse far away from it. Ibn Hasanah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I accompanied the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (Amr) is more astray than his family's donkey. It is only the mercy of your Lord, the supplication of your Prophet, and the death of the righteous before you, so gather together for it, and do not disperse from it. This reached Amr (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said: He has spoken the truth.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُزَيْقٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ، وَعَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ بْنُ السَّرْحِ، ثنا رِشْدِينُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ الْغَافِقِيِّ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلِ ابْنِ حَسَنَةَ: «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ، فَلَمْ يَقْعُدْ حَتَّى فَرَغَ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Shurahbil Ibn Hasanah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up after two rak'ahs of the prayer (without sitting for the tashahhud), and did not sit until he completed his prayer; then he made two prostrations, then said the salam.
