حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، وَعَلَيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا حَرِيزُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ نِمْرَانُ بْنُ مِخْمَرٍ، عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ أَوْسٍ الْكِنْدِيِّ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ، فَإِنْ شَرِبَهَا الثَّانِيَةَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ، فَإِنْ شَرِبَهَا الثَّالِثَةَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ، فَإِنْ شَرِبَهَا الرَّابِعَةَ فَاقْتُلُوهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Shurahbil bin Aws al-Kindi (may Allah be pleased with him), who was one of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When someone drinks wine, flog him; then if he drinks it a second time, flog him; then if he drinks it a third time, flog him; then if he drinks it a fourth time, kill him."
