حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الرَّقِّيُّ، ثنا قَبِيصَةُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ الرَّبَذِيِّ، عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «النُّجُومُ جُعِلَتْ أَمَانًا لِأَهْلِ السَّمَاءِ، وَإِنَّ أَهْلَ بَيْتِي أَمَانٌ لِأُمَّتِي»

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salamah bin al-Akwa' (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The stars have been made a security for the inhabitants of the heaven, and my household (Ahl al-Bayt) are a security for my Ummah."

Hadith 6234

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، ثنا عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَرَأَ: {فَسَيَرَى الله عَمَلَكُمْ وَرَسُولُهُ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ} [التوبة: ١٠٥] "

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salamah bin al-Akwa' (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: "Allah will see your deeds, and so will His Messenger and the believers" [Surah al-Tawbah: 105]

Hadith 6235

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي جِنَازَةٍ، فَأَثْنَى الْقَوْمُ عَلَيْهِ ثَنَاءً حَسَنًا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «وَجَبَتْ» فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، فَمَا وَجَبَتْ؟ قَالَ: «الْمَلَائِكَةُ شُهَدَاءُ اللهِ فِي السَّمَاءِ، وَأَنْتُمْ شُهَدَاءُ اللهِ فِي الْأَرْضِ، فَإِذَا شَهِدْتُمْ وَجَبَتْ»

Sayyiduna Salamah bin al-Akwa' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) at a funeral, and the people praised the deceased highly. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It has become due." They asked: O Messenger of Allah, what has become due? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The angels are Allah's witnesses in the heaven, and you are Allah's witnesses on the earth; when you bear witness, (Paradise or Hell) becomes due."

Hadith 6236

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَلَّامِ بْنِ أَبِي الْهَيْفَاءِ الْأَسَدِيُّ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَايَعَ لِعُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ بِإِحْدَى يَدَيْهِ عَلَى الْأُخْرَى، وَقَالَ: «اللهُمَّ إِنَّ عُثْمَانَ فِي حَاجَتِكَ وَحَاجَةِ رَسُولِكَ»

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salamah bin al-Akwa' (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) pledged allegiance on behalf of Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) by placing one of his hands upon the other, and said: "O Allah, Uthman is busy with Your need and the need of Your Messenger."

Hadith 6237

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُجَاهِدٍ أَبُو مُجَاهِدٍ الْكَابُلِيُّ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ الرَّبَذِيِّ، عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: «أَهْدَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْبُدْنِ عَامَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ جَمَلًا كَانَ يُخْتَ أَبِي جَهْلٍ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ، فِي رَأْسَهِ بُرَّةٌ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ» قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: «حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْهُ قَدِيمًا، ثُمَّ تَرَكَهُ بَعْدُ»

Sayyiduna Salamah bin al-Akwa' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: In the year of Hudaybiyah, among the sacrificial animals, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) offered a camel that had been Abu Jahl's on the day of Badr, with a silver ring in its nose.
Abdullah bin Ahmad says: My father narrated this to me earlier, then later abandoned it.
