حَدَّثَنَا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْعَطَّارُ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، ثنا شُجَاعُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ قَابُوسِ بْنِ أَبِي ظَبْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَا سَلْمَانُ، لَا تَبْغَضْنِي فَتُفَارِقَ دِينَكَ» ، قُلْتُ: وَكَيْفَ أَبْغَضُكَ وَبِكَ هَدَانِي اللهُ؟ قَالَ: «لَا تَبْغَضِ الْعَرَبَ فَتَبْغَضَنِي»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "O Salman! Do not hate me, lest you abandon your religion." I said: How could I hate you when it is through you that Allah has guided me? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not hate the Arabs, lest you come to hate me."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ثنا شِهَابُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ، ثنا شُجَاعُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا قَابُوسُ بْنُ أَبِي ظَبْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ
A similar hadith is also narrated from Sayyiduna Salman (may Allah be pleased with him).
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْمَقْدِسِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي ظَبْيَانَ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَيْسَ شَيْءٌ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفٍ مِثْلِهِ إِلَّا الْإِنْسَانُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is nothing that is better than a thousand of its like except the human being."
