حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الرَّقِّيُّ، ثنا قَبِيصَةُ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ نَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ، وَيُقْرِئُهُ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضًا، فَقَالَ: «الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كِتَابُ اللهِ وَاحِدٌ، فِيكُمُ الْأَسْوَدُ وَالْأَحْمَرُ، اقْرَأُوا الْقُرْآنَ، اقْرَأُوا الْقُرْآنَ، اقْرَأُوا الْقُرْآنَ، قَبْلَ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ أَقْوَامٌ يَقْرَأُونَ الْقُرْآنَ، يُقِيمُونَ حُرُوفَهُ، كَمَا يُقَامُ السَّهْمُ، لَا يُجَاوِزُ تَرَاقِيَهُمْ يَتَعَجَّلُونَ أَجْرَهُ، وَلَا يَتَأَجَّلُونَهُ»
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out to us while we were reciting the Qur'an and teaching one another to recite it, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Praise be to Allah, the Book of Allah is one, and among you are the black and the fair. Recite the Qur'an, recite the Qur'an, recite the Qur'an, before there come people who will recite the Qur'an and straighten its letters as an arrow is straightened, but it will not go beyond their throats; they will seek its reward hastily and will not defer it."
حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ أَبِي رَوْحٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنَ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ يُقْرِئُ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضًا، فَقَالَ: «الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كِتَابٌ وَاحِدٌ فِيكُمُ الْأَحْمَرُ وَالْأَسْوَدُ، اقْرَأُوا الْقُرْآنَ، اقْرَأُوا الْقُرْآنَ، اقْرَأُوا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ أَقْوَامٌ يُقِيمُونَهُ، كَمَا يُقَامُ السَّهْمُ، وَلَا يُجَاوِزُ تَرَاقِيَهُمْ يَتَعَجَّلُونَ أَجْرَهُ، وَلَا يَتَأَجَّلُونَهُ»
