حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ لَيَتَرَاءَوْنَ الْغُرْفَةَ مِنْ غُرَفِ الْجَنَّةِ، كَمَا يَتَرَاءَوْنَ الْكَوْكَبَ الْغَارِبَ الدُّرِّيَّ الشَّرْقِيَّ وَالْغَرْبِيَّ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The people of Paradise will see a chamber among the chambers of Paradise just as a brilliant setting star is seen in the east and the west."
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: " كُنَّ النِّسَاءُ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُؤْمَرْنَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ أَنْ لَا يَرْفَعْنَ رُءُوسَهُنَّ حَتَّى يَأْخُذَ الرِّجَالُ مَقَاعِدَهُمْ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ مِنْ فَتَّاحَةِ الثِّيَابِ
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "In the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), the women were instructed during the prayer not to raise their heads until the men had taken their places on the ground, because of the looseness of the garments."
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّ لِلْجَنَّةِ بَابًا يُدْعَى الرَّيَّانَ، يُقَالُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ: أَيْنَ الصَّائِمُونَ؟ فَإِذَا دَخَلُوا أُغْلِقَ وَلَمْ يَدْخُلْ مِنْهُ أَحَدٌ غَيْرُهُمْ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Paradise has a gate called al-Rayyan. On the Day of Resurrection it will be said: Where are those who fast? When they have all entered, it will be closed, and no one other than them will enter through it."
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ، أَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، رَفَعَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «التَّصْفِيقُ لِلنِّسَاءِ، وَالتَّسْبِيحُ لِلرِّجَالِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him), as a marfu' report, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Clapping is for women, and saying Subhan Allah is for men."
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ النَّرْسِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، «أَنَّ رِجَالًا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ كَانُوا يَشْهَدُونَ الصَّلَاةَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، عَاقِدِي أَرْدِيَتِهِمْ، وَمَا عَلَى أَحَدِهِمْ إِلَّا ثَوْبٌ وَاحِدٌ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that some men among the Muslims used to attend the prayer with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) with their sheets tied, and each of them had only a single garment.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: " جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: إِنِّي قَدْ زَنَيْتُ بِفُلَانَةَ - سَمَّاهَا -، فَبَعَثَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْمَرْأَةِ فَسَأَلَهَا فَأَنْكَرَتْ، فَرَجَمَهُ وَتَرَكَهَا "
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I have committed zina with such-and-such a woman - and he named her. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent someone to the woman and asked her, and she denied it. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) had him (the man) stoned and left the woman.
